We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer season or pleasant weather where ever you live. In New Mexico, the state Val calls home, it has been fairly nice this month. There have been a few rain showers on and off, but mostly sunshine and breezy easy weather. Sometimes the breeze kicks up with the warm air and dirt devils develope. These can be seen especially in the southern part of the state during the day in the summer months.

Adam Lambert got robbed! I saw him live on stage at the Kodak Theatre with my mom and he was unbelievable singing "Is Anybody Listening" in The Ten Commandments with Val Kilmer. We both had goosebumps. I'm so glad we have up close seats. (thanks mom for that special mother-daughter trip to L.A.)
My dad actually watched American Idol's finals because of Adam. He even agreed, Adam should have won. We thought it was really cool to see him on stage with Kiss and Queen. Rock on Adam to super-stardom! That's our opinion and we're stickin to it.
p.s. True Romance is coming out in Blu-Ray this month too.

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and Passover. Traditionally every year, our family watches the 1956 Academy award-winning movie "The Ten Commandments", with the beloved cast starring Charlton Heston, and Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter and many more. It's one of our favorite all time classics.
In 2004, many of us remember seeing the live performance at the Kodak Theatre showing "The Ten Commandments The Musical" starring Val Kilmer also. My daughter and I thought, one of the best highlights of the show was Adam Lambert performing the song "Is Anybody Listening?" as "Joshua". We got goosebumps. It's no wonder he is on American Idol and now a finalist. We hope he wins. Here's a clip of Adam singing the song from "The Ten Commandments The Musical".

However, the article isn't about Val, but on the Antarctic Treaty which was formed in 1959. Overall, I enjoyed reading it, and thought some of readers that visit here would also. In the same New Mexico forum, there is also a poll probe that included a few old controversial statements which entertainment magazines said Val made in 2003 and 2005. Val claims he was misquoted and I believe him. Was the poll created to target Mr. Kilmer, I don't know. But whatever the reasons, I've noticed not many took part in it.
When asked by The hollywood reporter why actors are such frequent targets on "The Factor" here's how Mr. O'Reilly recently responded.
"My job is to watch the powerful. A performer has a forum that other people do not, and all we ask is that they be fair."

Hey Guys
I just wanted to spotlight all the wonderful organisations that Val Kilmer supports. Hopefully this will help people (who don't already know) see how awesome Val is and that all the negative stories about this amazing man are full of well...horse do-do.
In particular, in light of the increasingly and annoyingly frequently spreading venom of the recent "Vietnam Vets" fiasco, I would like to point out that Val does indeed support the vets who have fought in the wars and kept us safe. Val is, of course, a man of peace and is not in favour of war, but he recognises and commends the sacrifices that have been made by those who serve.
**Operation Coming Home is a team of veterans, homebuilders, and other volunteers that are dedicated to providing free housing in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area to severely wounded veterans of recent Middle East wars. They help make a wounded veteran feel "right at home" in the Triangle.**
It is unthinkable and inconceivable (and just plain old horse do-do) that Val would ever insult the Vets and still support charities like those above. I think Esquire magazine and a certain reprehensible website that pretends to support the military have some apologies to make to Val.
Knowing Val though, I'm sure he would be a lot more forgiving than I would be under the circumstances.
**The Wildlife Center is a charity that I have donated to for over ten years. We have released over one hundred wild animals on our wilderness retreat that Dr. Ramsey has PERSONALLY treated. Please check it out.**
**For 85 years, AAIA (Association for American Indian Affairs) has been working to promote these goals and provide the critical elements that Native American Indian children and families need to live happy, healthy and productive lives.**

Here's my take.
It's more than just a movie. It's a statement on the correctional custody system with excellent performances by Mr. Kilmer and Stephen Dorff. As the story unfolds I found myself glued to each scene with the view point from the felon allowing us to see civil laws broken behind bars. I sensed a lack of scrutiny by a system to allow the innocent to be punished with the guilty. This film is a welcome treat for Val Kilmer fans that have been waiting for more great performances from him like Tombstone and The Doors.

On to the other secretive operation, Transform. Movie stars, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox recently were sighted in super Wal Mart in Alamogordo by a local employee. The movie Transformers 2 is shooting in New Mexico.

“The Steam Experiment” will be in the 4th night of shooting… again, most of the shooting will be indoors and at night at numerous locations around Grand Rapids… with closed sets.
A comment from Rick on that blog reinterates this is a closed set, so those wanting a sneak peek at the set and glimpse of the stars, please take heed to what he said, and Cheshire Katz's reminder message recently posted here.

So stay tuned and visit his official website and myspace pages often for updates, espcially if you want to know about any possible future personal appearance schedules. ~butterfly has seen him several times and I've been told he is very nice, with a sense of humor in person. For my Friends and Val Kilmer Fans
Here's the latest update on the movie buzz in Grand Rapids Michigan. The article that is linked below does mention Val is in town. Wish I was back in my hometown which is near by to cure my homesickness with a *sigh* notion of Val working in the surrounding area. How exciting for Michiganders though to have a film like this being made there. Some of the film locations are mentioned in the article also. As for the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, it is absolutely elegant and beautiful four star diamond. Their ballrooms are wonderful for weddings, imagine a grand staircase and chandeliers. My cousin actually held an after wedding party reception dinner at the hotel, in I beleive the "1913 room" Michigan's only five star restaurant, which I attended many years ago. I have to wonder if the roasted duck is still on the menu. Yum. :-)

Hey everyone...
The latest news happens to be coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan and hits very very close to my home town. How can this get any more cool and exciting, wow.
As for Grand Rapids, the location is a beautiful place and I had a wonderful time growing up in the surrounding area paradise so close to Lake Michigan. The beaches along the western coast of the state are beautiful and made from crush quartz which feels like walking on soft sugar sand. I will admit summers are great, but winters are ice cold though.
The movie slated to start filming as early as next week in this awesome West Michigan location is called, "The Steam Experiment". Val Kilmer may also star in the film. Although this movie buzz has not been confirmed by the movie's publicist. If it does happen, I'll definitely want to see this movie especially if Val's in it.

So... I really loved this movie. Really, really loved it.
Stephen Dorff had always been kinda "meh" to me but I really appreciated his acting in this role.
As always Val was the star.
Frankly I think good 'ol Val could do a movie where he does/says nothing but stands perfectly still wearing a garbage bag and it would still be an awesome movie hit... but that's just me :P

Hey everyone. Just reading through Kilmer's Wikipedia article and it said he and Tom Cruise have continued an off-screen "vitriolic hatred" of each other since filming Top Gun. Of course I know to take things on Wikipedia with a grain of salt, but does anyone have any idea what this is based on? I've stumbled across a couple of vague references to Val refusing to participate in a charity volleyball game with Cruise, Cruise mocking him on the set of Batman Forever (not sure why Cruise would have been on set), and possibly Val doing something to Cruise's motorcycle. It all sounds childish and far-fetched to me, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much of this was true and if the two really don't like each other (and why).

Here's alittle inspiration to view over the dreary cloud of caution in a fast pace changing world where there seems to be no easy answers for hard working people with inflation knawing on their pocketbooks. Those of us whom have to scale back with alternative spending habits and create lifestyle that counter balances rising fuel and grocery store prices surely feel the pinch which can be stressful on one self and-or other members of the family. The impacts, like a spreading fever, can also have us lose sight of Hope in life when our Faith is being fevently tested. Some of you may have already seen this video, called "Five Minutes of Faith" but IMO also thought it would be good to post it here on Val's movie message board reminding us just how beautiful and precious our world still is, along with keeping Faith alive, so Hope survives these times of such uncertainty.

Vintage car lovers would drool over this gift. I read this article and was really happy for Val since he has a love for the classics. Most of us have seen pictures of his beautiful sleek GTO hotrod. Now he has an awesome Impala addition to his private car collection, thanks to 50 cent. It was also a really nice change to read about someone being generous to another person who's name just happens to be Val Kilmer and has given to charity over the years. 50 cent your the man! You surprised Val with a special gift for him. Val is a wonderful kind hearted man, and an inspiration to many. And, it's good to see a giving person, become a receiver unexpectly, and I believe his fans and friends would agree.

There will be one-night-only screening of "The Doors" at the Robinson Film Center. The screening of "The Doors" will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be presented on 35 mm.
Val Kilmer will be the special guest and participate in a post-screening Q&A session hosted by Alexandyr Kent.
There will be 118 tickets available for the Robinson Film Center event. They will go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday and cost $125 each. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit's educational and cultural programming.

Presently at home with my 20 day old baby daughter.
Since she was a week old she's had an afternoon witching hour, during which she has always cried and been inconsolable. Every way possible had been tried to help her and soothe her.
Yesterday I decided to put in my Sessions cd, and lo and behold - she quietened! I thought maybe it was just a fluke but today I did the same thing during her fit and it worked!
Thank you Val and thanks to your lovely voice for soothing my daughter and giving me peaceful afternoons!

In response and agreeing with you his fans, there are many different roles and films I would also find extremely intriguing for Val on the silver screen and wish he would accept doing. In an opinionated view, Mr. Kilmer's Cameleon Charm and skillfully done method acting abilities have endless possibilities. Showcasing his talent, one of my favorites will always be his unforgettable role in "Tombstone" as Doc Holliday. Hollywood and the future holds our answers when they pick their cast selections and when the actor or actress chooses to accept and then sign on committing to the role. Lets hope Val picks some of those roles we would love to see him portray too, whether it's popular film categories or even something off the beaten path. - C.K.

There is a new book out titled, "Signs of Our Times" about a planned terrorist attack on the Cotton Bowl and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It's exciting and riveting, a "can't put it down" novel of suspense and romance.
Val Kilmer is the author's choice to play the part of the villian/hero. It's a part made in Heaven for Val. We hope he or his agent will take a look at the novel and agree.

Knight Rider has a new executive producer, Gary Scott Thompson. He was also the primary screenwriter for that towering epic of car lust, 2001's The Fast and the Furious.
Still, expect a lot of familiar faces to migrate from the movie to the series. Justin Bruening will return as KITT's primary conversational partner, Deanna Russo and Sydney Tamiia Poitier will be back to provide feminine support and Bruce Davison will be on board to lend gravitas as the genius — sorry, super-genius — behind the KITT's construction. And KITT's voice will continue to be provided by VAL KILMER.

Hello Everyone,
As you have noticed there has been a new change to this message board with the password feature activated and the captcha feature removed. In addition after meeting some really wonderful friends and fans of Val on here, and myspace, I am currently designing some other webpages especially to go with this forum for those that have been visiting this site. It may take a few months to create, so bare with me. If any one has some suggestions please feel free to email them to me for consideration. When posting Avatars for personal signatures please limit the size approx. 80 by 80 pixels and when posting larger photos in the subject text box please keep photos no larger than 300 by 300 pixels for easier webpage loading.
I recommend using a free service called Photobucket to up load pictures. PhotoBucket Link To post a picture a HTML image code is needed. Click this next link and learn how Voy site Info. and Help Section Under that section scroll down to the Howto's titled in very small text as "Using images and links". Note also, Voy forum rules does not allow nudity, such postings will be deleted. Here are some examples to use.
