A Message From Val -- V.K. msg board admin., 18:39:06 02/08/10 Mon [1]
I'll be speaking in Massachusetts Feb 11
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
Dear Friends,
On February 11, together with Mike Davis, library researcher, and Chet Manchester, who also has written a screenplay on Eddy, I will be in Boston at the Mary Baker Eddy Library, to discuss the development of my upcoming film "Mark Twain and Mary Baker Eddy".
Contemporaries and equally well-known in their time for their influence on society, Mary Baker Eddy and Mark Twain's worlds intersected in a battle of ideas. Their voices stood out in a culture going through dramatic change. Twain was fascinated by Eddy, and Eddy was committed to bringing liberation to the human condition that Twain so expertly satirized.
This program is part of the Mary Baker Eddy Centenary Series, "Strength of Spirit - Engaging with Mary Baker Eddy 100 years later". Admission will be $15 for seating in the Hall of Ideas and $8 for overflow seating or $10/$5 for Friends of the Library. For reservations, and more information, please go to the Mary Baker Eddy Library Website .

Thank-you for this message Val. We wish you best of luck.
Untitled Poem -- Soul Demon, 14:54:04 02/04/10 Thu [1]
The waves ceaseslesly kisses the shore
One too many times, it's never enough
As his love is endless
So hopeful,yet so hopeless
For the waves belongs to the ocean
But the shore's passion and devotion
Keeps her still and waits
For her true love to kiss her once again

How bout those Golden Globes? -- C.K., 17:03:03 01/18/10 Mon [1]
Wow...Dexter got two. Now that's what I'm talking about. Looked for Val in the hollywood rat pack audience, but didn't notice him or cam's didn't turn his way. Val where were you hiding on us? That's really all I was interested in. Avatar and The Blind Side were no surprise. Now on to the Oscars.
Oh one last mention Robert Downey Jr. IS IRONMAN. HAHAHA He rocked.
A new Google alert. I've not heard any mention before. -- Christine(Hopeful!), 06:22:30 01/16/10 Sat [1]
A new Google alert! I haven't heard any whispers about this before! I'm going to be broke if all these films do materialise.
Passion Play
Bill 'Carl Speckler' Murray will star opposite Megan Fox, Val Kilmer and Mickey Rourke in Mitch Glazer's (he's the chap that wrote the Pacino flick "The Recruit", right?) cool-sounding "Passion Play". The flick stars the "Transformers" babe as a fallen angel who is rescued by a lowly musician (Mickey Rourke). Murray, replacing "RocknRolla" star Toby Kebbell, will play a mobster hot who's gone a bone (boner?) to pick with Fox's Angel. The last time Murray played a mobster was in "Mad Dog and Glory", right? What a gem that was - must see if I have it on DVD anywhere here... (Source : Production Weekly)
I'd rate it higher! -- Christine, 15:26:31 01/13/10 Wed [1]
I've just found this on Twitter, actually on Albert Pyun's page. http://www.imdb.com/search/title?sort=user_rating&title_type=feature&year=2010%2C2010
It was a listing for his film, but on checking it out, I discovered the list from IMDb of their top Feature films to be released in 2010. I found nestling at number 10, "Fake Identity". It's definitely Val's film they mean, although they obviously haven't realised the name change yet. I guess we would like to see it ranked higher, and to see some of the rest of the films Val has worked on included also, but at least it's there.
hello -- Pasturelands(upbeat), 01:03:54 01/13/10 Wed [1]
wow, i can't believe ICEMAN had a website.. it looks really wonderful. Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Iceman! what did you get yourself for your birthday??
I wish you the best for your movie career. Personally, I liked your work at TOMBSTONE and TOP GUN, even BATMAN FOREVER. I do hope the project on "adventures of Doc Holliday" get a go-signal--- it seems pretty cool to me, and fits your background as a ranch-owning dude!! will be looking forward to that one. Maybe MORE ACTION MOVIES like Top Gun is not too much to ask?? Thanks.

Ring tones -- Christine, 05:13:51 12/21/09 Mon [2]
People have been commenting on my very appropriate "cool" ring tone on my cell phone! I've recorded two lines of Val singing, so now whenever my phone rings, people hear "Snow is Falling, Christmas is Calling" Very appropriate for the weather and time of year and a phone! So many people have asked who it is, so I am directing them to the right place for them to get a copy of the cd!
"Christmas is Calling" -- video by Amy, 21:25:42 12/24/09 Thu [1]
Here's alittle surprise... A good friend of mine made this video almost two years ago and I thought it would be nice to re-post it for the Holidays. Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Let angels be among us...thank-you V for such a beautiful song we can cherish over and over each December. Let the Peace shine on!
Now Filming -- ., 08:29:58 09/28/09 Mon [3]
From the director of "The Sword and the Sorcerer", Albert Pyun adds to the cast of "Tales of an Ancient Empire". Drooling allowed, since there is a list of hotties in this film. The movie news update states, Val Kilmer is officially in, playing "Rollo". Oh yeah! We love films that are easy on the eyes.
Check out the rest of the hot cast from DreadCentral

Vals Peco River Ranch -- Christine, 02:22:44 12/19/09 Sat [1]
If you want to see more of Val's ranch in
New Mexico, then go and watch the Hugh Grant film Did You Hear About the Morgans. Although the safe house is supposed to be in Wyoming, it is actually shot on Val's Pecos River Ranch! Lucky things to get to film in such spectacular surroundings, although having just heard a Hugh Grant interview, he wasn't impressed with hotel he was put up in! A great way for Val to get finance for his vision of an art sanctuary at the ranch.
Ineresting alert! -- Christine Kitchen, 02:58:37 12/05/09 Sat [3]
"ChisholmsTrailLeather provides historically accurate holsters, belts, Western belt buckles and other cowboy apparel to the movies: the bad guys’ holster and belts in “3:10 to Yuma,” Val Kilmer’s holsters, belts and buckles in an upcoming western entitled “Doc Holliday,” and even Miley Cyrus’ Western holsters, belts and belt buckles for her current world tour and others."
I know this is basically an advert, but if they have already made the holsters and guns etc, this sounds a really interesting bit of news, and it is dated today (4th Dec)! Now this is a film I would pay any money to see! It was one of Val's best performances ever in Tombstone and I would love to see another version.
Movies of this Millennuim you might have missed but shouldn't -- Contributed by Santa Fe Val Fan, 11:08:46 12/15/09 Tue [2]
Santa Fe Val Fan sent in a really interesting article on the most unfairly overlooked movies of the decade. On this short list is not one but TWO Val Kilmer movies.

Columbus Day Query -- Christine Kitchen(Puzzled), 08:27:34 11/19/09 Thu [2]
Has anyone else noticed a slip up in continuity of the film? I was watching it the other day, and ended up rewinding it quite a few times! Why, apart from the obvious?
Well, something suddenly jumped out at me, and I had to rewind and check a number of times. Just after Val (or John) has been watching the children playing in the park, and he is on a bridge type structure, the scar on his cheek moves sides! For the entire film he has a scratch on his left cheek, but in this particular shot, it suddenly appears on the right! I cannot believe that makeup would have got it wrong just in one shot (nor that Val would let that happen) so I can only assume that for some reason, the film has been transposed in that shot. It is a puzzlement!
It doesn't stop me enjoying the film though. I love seeing Val in roles like this - a baddy with a heart as my son describes it. And the music in this film is fantastic too.
Happy Thanksgiving! -- ., 10:24:32 11/25/09 Wed [3]

As we get ready for the holidays just around the corner...here's something really wonderful for Val fans and friends. Recently this year, Angela was able to meet Val at the Hollywood Collector's Show 2009 for the first time. She graciously shares her experience with all of us, respectfully captured through a lens.
In the video below, she gives Val a bracelet and in the photo you can see he is actually wearing it as he autographs a picture. How cool is that. Click here to view more of her personal photo treasures from the HSC too.
