Hey everyone. Just reading through Kilmer's Wikipedia article and it said he and Tom Cruise have continued an off-screen "vitriolic hatred" of each other since filming Top Gun. Of course I know to take things on Wikipedia with a grain of salt, but does anyone have any idea what this is based on? I've stumbled across a couple of vague references to Val refusing to participate in a charity volleyball game with Cruise, Cruise mocking him on the set of Batman Forever (not sure why Cruise would have been on set), and possibly Val doing something to Cruise's motorcycle. It all sounds childish and far-fetched to me, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much of this was true and if the two really don't like each other (and why).

- Sounds more like practical pranksters, considering the mass media perspective looks for juicy gossip to write about, esp on popular hard working Hollywood actors and bend the truth to entice their celebrity addicted audience. Sometimes as we know, they bend it to far and get sued. The simple fact is, Val is a Christian Scientist and Tom a member of Scientology. Although these are very different concepts in spirituality, I would have to believe vitriolic hatred would contradict their spiritual beliefs and moral standards. -- V.K. A reason to smile

Vintage car lovers would drool over this gift. I read this article and was really happy for Val since he has a love for the classics. Most of us have seen pictures of his beautiful sleek GTO hotrod. Now he has an awesome Impala addition to his private car collection, thanks to 50 cent. It was also a really nice change to read about someone being generous to another person who's name just happens to be Val Kilmer and has given to charity over the years. 50 cent your the man! You surprised Val with a special gift for him. Val is a wonderful kind hearted man, and an inspiration to many. And, it's good to see a giving person, become a receiver unexpectly, and I believe his fans and friends would agree.

About Val's Official Website -- From The Kilmer Kamp, 07:27:26 06/05/08 Thu [4]

Many have noticed his official website is not uploading properly at this time. I did receive an update a few days ago by folks at the kilmer kamp. They are having technical problems and working on resolving these issues. This has also been re-confirmed on the other Val Kilmer forum. Hopefully Val's Official website will be up and running soon. Someday, I would love to put all my poetry in a book for my friends and family, but priority for my children to finish college comes first. Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Here's alittle inspiration to view over the dreary cloud of caution in a fast pace changing world where there seems to be no easy answers for hard working people with inflation knawing on their pocketbooks. Those of us whom have to scale back with alternative spending habits and create lifestyle that counter balances rising fuel and grocery store prices surely feel the pinch which can be stressful on one self and-or other members of the family. The impacts, like a spreading fever, can also have us lose sight of Hope in life when our Faith is being fevently tested. Some of you may have already seen this video, called "Five Minutes of Faith" but IMO also thought it would be good to post it here on Val's movie message board reminding us just how beautiful and precious our world still is, along with keeping Faith alive, so Hope survives these times of such uncertainty.

There will be one-night-only screening of "The Doors" at the Robinson Film Center. The screening of "The Doors" will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be presented on 35 mm.

Val Kilmer will be the special guest and participate in a post-screening Q&A session hosted by Alexandyr Kent.

There will be 118 tickets available for the Robinson Film Center event. They will go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday and cost $125 each. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit's educational and cultural programming.

Presently at home with my 20 day old baby daughter.
Since she was a week old she's had an afternoon witching hour, during which she has always cried and been inconsolable. Every way possible had been tried to help her and soothe her.
Yesterday I decided to put in my Sessions cd, and lo and behold - she quietened! I thought maybe it was just a fluke but today I did the same thing during her fit and it worked!
Thank you Val and thanks to your lovely voice for soothing my daughter and giving me peaceful afternoons!

In response and agreeing with you his fans, there are many different roles and films I would also find extremely intriguing for Val on the silver screen and wish he would accept doing. In an opinionated view, Mr. Kilmer's Cameleon Charm and skillfully done method acting abilities have endless possibilities. Showcasing his talent, one of my favorites will always be his unforgettable role in "Tombstone" as Doc Holliday. Hollywood and the future holds our answers when they pick their cast selections and when the actor or actress chooses to accept and then sign on committing to the role. Lets hope Val picks some of those roles we would love to see him portray too, whether it's popular film categories or even something off the beaten path. - C.K.

There is a new book out titled, "Signs of Our Times" about a planned terrorist attack on the Cotton Bowl and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It's exciting and riveting, a "can't put it down" novel of suspense and romance.
Val Kilmer is the author's choice to play the part of the villian/hero. It's a part made in Heaven for Val. We hope he or his agent will take a look at the novel and agree.

Knight Rider has a new executive producer, Gary Scott Thompson. He was also the primary screenwriter for that towering epic of car lust, 2001's The Fast and the Furious.

Still, expect a lot of familiar faces to migrate from the movie to the series. Justin Bruening will return as KITT's primary conversational partner, Deanna Russo and Sydney Tamiia Poitier will be back to provide feminine support and Bruce Davison will be on board to lend gravitas as the genius � sorry, super-genius � behind the KITT's construction. And KITT's voice will continue to be provided by VAL KILMER.

I heard a rumor several months ago that Val would be playing the role of David Lee Roth in the upcoming movie "The Dirt", which is about Motley Crue. It seems now the project is kept under wraps - I can't find any info. Is this true? He mastered Jim Morrison, I know he'll do the same with Roth.

It does seem Mr. Kilmer is preparing for a new role with 50 Cent and Sharon Stone in post Katrina hurricane and surrounding New Orleans area though. There are several postings about it online now. I've been a fan of Mr. Kilmer's (Val) for many years, too. My fave works stem from his portrayal of Lizard King himself in "The Doors" and his hypnotic performance of Doc Holliday in Tombstone. I feel that he doesn't get enough credit in the world of film and Hollywood, but he definitely embodies the epitome of a true entertainer!!!!!

I saw on Wikipedia that Mr. Kilmer worked on or is working on this film. This is the first I've seen of this project and just curious to know if it is true. If it is true, is there a time line on when this might be released? Would also be curious to know which version of the Lewis and Clark story the project is being based on.

- Thank-you for sharing this info. As for this being true on this upcoming project take in consideration changes to scripts and castings can and do happen in the film industry all the time and it may be awhile before you know the real facts for your curiosity even though you read something about it online. Here is a very recent example when Robert Deniro dropped out of a role in �Microwave Park� and now Val is attached to it. Some of us can also recall when Val was up to do another �Batman� movie, but there was a conflict in scheduling and he opted to do the movie �The Saint�. I will do some more inquiring for you, but it is always best when we read the news directly from the actor�s or actress�s official websites on their up and coming projects since changes such as the casting can and do happen unexpectly or at the last minute. A carmaker conflict has caused NBC to hire Val Kilmer to replace Will Arnett as the voice of KITT on its "Knight Rider" revival.
Arnett ("Arrested Development") had already completed his part for the pic, which is slated to debut on NBC in less than two weeks. Producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Dave Andron -- along with the network and studio -- were all fine with his performance.

Problem is, Arnett had a contractual conflict of interest.

So, I just received my copy of Val's music CD and his book of poems. I love them so much! What a really talented man.
The CD is so perfect and clear it's like he's sitting right here singing in person (wouldn't THAT be sweet). The book of poetry is beautiful, it's like a tribute to his life.
His son must be proud to have inspired this book, not to mention proud to have decorated the covers as well as he did :)

I distinctly remember being about 7 years old when I first cam across Val's movies. From then my interest in his work just grew and grew. Not only is Val like, the hottest dude on the planet but he really captivated me as an audience, and my attention to his work has not failed in 20 years.
Honestly my adoration for this man has outlasted anything else in my life. I can't wait to see a new movie or interview, and when new movies come out to theatre I turn into this psycho broad who HAS to be in line the first night (and sometimes every night after that... I have a bad obsession with trying to memorize his lines. It is a 'sickness' but I refuse to work on it :P).
Seriously though, it would be a great honor to one day meet Val and physically stand in his shadow and take it all in. He's so freaking awesome! Then, now and forever Val is #1.

HaHaHa @Cheshire Katz.. I've been drinking down the eggnog like it is going out of style this holiday season and trying out new recipes. I'm finding cooking is alot like doing art. ~The Most Beautiful Heart~

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.

Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine." The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing. The people stared -- how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought?

The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking", he said. "Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears." "Yes," said the old man, "yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared. Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges -- giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So, now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands. The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.

This is sad news right after Thanksgiving, another fire has burned 20 homes in Malibu. They are not sure what caused the fire, however the Santa Anna winds are feeding it to move fast and spread. I hope they can get the fire under control soon. It's been so dry, we need more rain out west.

Thadd's Talmarc Productions, a company he owns with his dad, has just re-edited his earlier DVD production Miracle at Sage Creek and added new scenes to create a Christmas story titled Christmas Miracles.

According to proud papa Bob, Miracle at Sage Creek has been a blazing success, selling 500,000 DVD copies around the world.

Bob Turner now reports that Thadd has put together an even bigger production called The Hard Ride which he said will lift Talmarc Productions into a more prominent position in the industry when filming is completed early next year. It will feature a cast of major actors headlined by Val Kilmer plus several others with impressive Hollywood credentials. They include Karl Urban, Elizabeth Shue and Luke Wilson, brother of comic actor Owen Wilson, Bob has announced.

Steve Zahn realized he had some big shoes to fill when he was tapped as Gus McCrae in CBS' miniseries Comanche Moon, the prequel to Lonesome Dove, which starred Robert Duvall.

"Duvall played this incredible character � it was almost as if you were playing Teddy Roosevelt," Zahn says. "You have to pay tribute to playing that part."

Zahn, 39, lobbied to play McCrae in a meeting with Dove/Moon novelist Larry McMurtry. "I'm a huge fan of McMurtry. Very few people can write period stuff like this, and I had always wanted to do a Western," Zahn says.

Moon, set 20 years before Dove, features Zahn and Karl Urban as Texas Rangers protecting settlers from Indians and Mexican insurgents. It co-stars Val Kilmer, Wes Studi, Adam Beach and Elizabeth Banks and premieres Dec. 30 (9 p.m. ET/PT).
