Most avid Val Kilmer fans from all ages on this message board know that was the year he was born, which the writer does mention. However, the article isn't about Val, but on the Antarctic Treaty which was formed in 1959. Overall, I enjoyed reading it, and thought some of readers that visit here would also. Thanks to SantaFeValFan for sending this positive piece of literature in.
