Since V.K. was just in Chicago last month, thought I would recap on the 1996 movie "The Ghost and The Darkness" based on a true story about two maneless Kenyan lions, which terrified imperial British railroad workers for nine months in the late 1800's. Val Kilmer starred as Lt. Col. Patterson, a 19th-century Irish engineer and the man who after a long hunt killed these maneaters with the help of an expatriate American hunter played by actor Michael Douglas. The lions are now on display at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History and one of the top attractions there. Have to wonder if Val stopped by this display during his recent trip after the Hollywood Celebrities Show. There's a high probability I think *wink*, oh those lucky tour guides. LOL!
