The Indiana Supreme Court satisfied the Coalition because the Indiana Law was terrible but they also manufactured a "true threat" through manipulations and distortions of fact as well as outright lies in order to uphold a conviction of a citizen who criticized one of their own. They hammered Dearborn County Prosecutor F. Aaron Negangard for not making the correct argument of a "true threat". While I certainly disagree with Negangard for ever bringing charges in this case, he needs to be defended on this one. (sort of) Negangard may have ruined any chances he had to run for higher office in the state because of the bad position in which he put the Attorney General's Office and the judiciary, but he's not dumb enough not to make this sort of over site. Does anyone want to guess why Negangard didn't make the "true threat" argument as defined by the U.S. Supreme Court?… BECAUSE THERE WAS NEVER A TRUE THREAT!… The most frightening thing is how the State can continue to make up their own "facts" at every level, and then continue to use those "facts" to manufacture an unjust argument. What I believe the Indiana Supreme Court was saying to Negangard by criticizing his argument (or lack thereof) was listen buddy, don't ever put us in this position again. And for the sake of a free people, I sure hope he doesn't.
