Subject: 27 years ago: Return of the Jedi (1983)

The third and final installment in the trilogy and it marked the introduction of Emperor Palpatine, played to perfection by veteran stage actor, Ian McDiarmid. A bit uneven and lighter in tone, since the previous film was much darker.

Inspired by the Flash Gordon serial trilogy (especially FGCTU), George Lucas and company created a classic movie trilogy.

Star Wars and Empire are my favorites, but Jedi is an amazing piece as well, featuring a more mature Luke Skywalker.
