Subject: Flash Gordon moments in the catacombs

The catacombs are featured in the 1936 and 1940 serials. Comments are welcome on the exploits and events that occured beneath Ming's palace on numerous occasions.

One early FG '36 scene in the catacombs has Thun zapping the gocko with a rifle-style ray gun, thus saving Flash Gordon.

This scene reminded me of the second Star Trek pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before", which had Kirk utilizing a phaser rifle.
