Great game yesterday boys. Your hard work is begining to pay off. Since we won our first game I will give quick shout outs to players who stand out in our wins. Quick shout outs to Ryan O'neil, and Erik Petroski who have been pitching lights out. Keep it up boys. Also John Erickson who did a great job behind the plate. We will practice Thursday at one of the follow places:
Ramp playground 4:30 -6:00 if it does not rain and it is not too cold, OR
Lincoln upstairs gym, 6:00-7:00 if it does rain and it is too cold.Check back here on Thursday and I will let you know.

To All Jerome's Varsity Baseball Players and Parents/Guardians:

Each of you are commended for your effort during the try-out process.
The coaches have decided to carry 18 players this year.
Each player was rated during the try-outs and were assigned a number from 1-18. They all know were they placed. It was made very clear to all of the players what they can expect this season especially with regards to playing time.Each player was told to discuss with their parent/guardian what we talked about. I WANT TO CLEAR UP ANY CONFUSION ABOUT THE WAY THE TEAMS WERE DIVIDED. THERE IS NO 'B' LEAGUE IN REGION 1 CYO BASEBALL. THERE IS ONLY AN 'A' LEAGUE. IN ORDER TO BE COMPETETIVE IN THE LEAGUE WITH BOTH TEAMS, AND TO NOT HAVE A REPEAT OF LAST YEAR WHEN ONE TEAM WENT 11-1 AND ONE TEAM WENT 1-11, THE COACHES AND THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR DECIDED THAT THIS YEAR WE WOULD DIVIDE THE TEAM INTO TWO EVENLY TALENTED TEAMS. MUCH TIME AND THOUGHT WAS PUT INTO THIS PROCESS AND ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT BE PERFECT, WE DID OUR BEST. NEXT YEAR MAY OR MAY NOT BE DIFFERENT, AND SINCE WE HAVE NO CRYSTAL BALL AVAILABLE, ONLY TIME WILL TELL IF OUR PLAN WAS A GOOD ONE. There will be JV Boys tryout/practice this Thursday inside the Lincoln HS upstairs gym. The 5th graders will go from 6-7pm. The 6th graders will go from 7-8pm. There is a Home and School outing to the Flyers game Thursday night.If you are going to the game, check back here often for further practice times.If you cannot make it to practice, please let me know. We will be at the mercy of the weather for the next couple weeks and gym time is very limited so make sure you are throwing at least a couple times a week.Thanks.
