Ok, think of it this way. You know the year the Russian's didn't compete at the Olympics and all of a sudden lesser athletes became gold medalists. Well, they weren't exactly the best in the world, though the they had the medal that would indicate that they were to anyone not in the know. How truly unfortunate that even though you've "been around forever", after all that time you didn't learn how to express gracious and heartfelt congratulations to current winners.
