I'm a parent (who danced as a teen -- not Irish Dance) and found many instructors did not know proper dance technique, which lead to massive knee pain. Some teach it more like an 80's aerobics class with a ballet barre.

Proceed with caution.

  • If you mean a ballet class focusing on barre work, then yes, I saw a lot of improvement in my dancing when I did that. As for a fitness barre class, I don't think it would do much as not really geared towards dancers. (NT) -- Q, 15:14:17 07/06/17 Thu
