Subject: Last several years - same 5 judges for first 2 rounds. Hard shoe first, soft shoe second. Just like any Prelim or Open competition - judges rank dancers and Irish points are assigned. Top half of the age group are recalled to dance their set dance - 5 judges, ranked, Irish points. Scores from all 3 rounds are used for final placement.
In reply to: inquiring and naive mind 's message, "This may have been explained before, but could some kind soul please explain how the Oireachtas is scored and placed. Thanks so much kind board in advance!" on 19:34:34 11/04/09 Wed
