Subject: Odd new age breakdowns in John Kennelly prizewinner groups

They were single age groups in the syllabus, now they are double or "& over" - but u9 numbers are so low that the winner cannot advance - and other group numbers are much higher. Is this common? Can groups be combined to maximize the possibility of a winner advancing? Schedule is already posted, so it's probably done - but still wondering. I've seen splits to single age groups occur for individual dances (not all). Just have not yet seen this. Thank you for any insight. Thank you to feis organizers!!!!
