I think leaving ID was the best thing for us. Have lots of time and money for other things. My DD should have quit a couple of years ago. It was her decision to quit..........yeh! I did not stop her. I do not miss anything: except watching my DD dance and the music. As for the Stage Moms, my stress level has gone way down. Our school had some particularly nasty moms. So glad my DD is out of ID. Life is good!
