• Most people feel the "reasonable" distance is about 50 miles. This has been what it was traditionally. If you used to spedn 10 minutes going to class, and your move makes that commute 45 or 60 minutes instead, I think that is a big enough change.   • We wrote Michael Mulane IDTANA President and got a response back explaining the rule and what is considered reasonable distance.   • Because the rule stated above is not hard and fast "anytime you change schools you serve a ban. Period" There is obviously some interperetation in the rule. that's why I asked (NT) -- OP, 13:04:57 11/06/09 Fri

  • For senior dancers and open champs, 6 months is a very long time. According to TC, intent of rule is to discourage school hopping. But if you have a legitimate reason for moving, then why should you be penalized? The rule allows for exceptions. And for most OC and more mature dancers, to learn new choreography/style takes far less than 6 months to master (my OC learns new steps within 2 weeks). (NT) -- jmho, 06:34:40 11/07/09 Sat
