Subject: I don't think he's strictly using Primaflora. She provides him some much-needed comfort and companionship which he needs in order to keep focused, but I never thought he regarded her solely as a commodity. She might help him advance his plans, true enough, and perhaps he's aware they are both relying on the other to get ahead, but he has some genuine feelings for her (although she's not his soulmate). In many ways I felt Nicholas sort of pities Katelina. He has high regard for her, probably wishes they could have been a couple, wants her to be happy, but he is not in love with her imho.
