Subject: 3. I got the impression that Ragged Jack's loss of time might be related to Jamie's bi-polar condition. I am sure there are times that he's lost track of the passage of time and "awoken" to find himself in unfamiliar territory (physically and mentally). 2. I think that it was a combination. I think he was taken and there may have been a hunt, but somehwere in the times that he rests or passes out, he goes into a dream. Then Shura and Finola make the connection between Jamie & Pamela (and Casey!). 1. I think there are a lot of souls held ransom - by circumstances, by love, by hate. Jamie is the obvious one, but I think there are others, like Nikolai or Patrick who have souls that have been held ransom by their circumstances.

  • Q1. I think it refers to the price Jamie paid to reclaim his soul after Svetlana was holding it hostage; in this case the death of Isay was the price to reclaim Jamie's soul. I think many of the men and women in the camp have ransomed their souls in order to survive and now are looking for the price of getting them back in some small act of retribution or defiance.
