Subject: I don't think anyone here would take offense, Cindy, sorry if I implied that. I just think it is an interesting question, what is the definition of "good writing?" Is it as they say of p*rnogrphy...you know it when you see it? *g* >>>>>>>>>>
In reply to: celtgirl 's message, "Sometimes the way I judge is whether it's something I would read again, to simply enjoy the prose and the story itself over. I thought the first 'Twilight' book was well done, wasn't nuts about the second>>>" on 12:11:01 02/24/09 Tue

What I do find sad is that, in our current commercial environment, I find myself wondering if DD could have gotten The Lymond Chronicles published, especially knowing the hard road you've had with that. Look at many of the "Classics", if they were written today, would they get published? Truly scary to think about.

Going rather off topic here, I told Morgan I thought it would be interesting to see him read GofK and get his reaction. His response was to ask if there was any sex in it! LOL!!! So I guess, for him, good writing must include some (or lots) of mmphing scenes!
