Subject: I had hoped that Frankie would have gotten himself back to Ireland and was saddened to find out that he died homeless on the streets like he did. I was hoping with that last good act that he could have turned things around but it was obviously too late.

Helping his brother/family like that was wonderful. I think that he had a good heart, but just somehow didn't have the ability to make good choices. It's a sad story about him & I felt bad for Agnes. But the wedding was wonderful, Mark being so happy. I really enjoyed the book overall and will post the first part of The Granny discussion later today.
