Subject: I go back to Agnes feeling there was something not quite right with Mick, then his father's rigid and controlling behaviour. The warning Mick's mother gave to Cathy on her wedding really got me nervous, though. Sadly enough, many women are abused for the first time either during pregnancy or immediately after giving birth. The theory is that the men don't know how to handle the stress of becoming a parent and hit out at the woman. I think they all need a taste of their own medicine, preferably at the hands of someone twice their size who wants to make them their "girlfriend."
