Subject: You know, I had no idea who Cathy's lover was. Not until the next section, then the clue about the little girl hit me. I couldn't believe who easy it was for Aunt Margaret to just give Cormac away. Was she so heartless? Or did she have enough kids of her own that it was easy to hand him off to some ex-con? Father or not, she could have been a little more concerned for him and maybe not so much about the suitcase. But I am glad they are together and I think Cormac is good for Dermot. I wish Dermot would just make up with Agnes though. This grudge has gone on too long!

  • I was horrified when Cormac's aunt just handed him over like that. I understand having too many mouths and not enough money, but to just toss the poor little fellow into the arms of a virtual stranger. Poor wee mannikin. I know he and Dermot did well together, and I'm sure having Cormac made a huge differencce in Dermot getting his act together, but still.
