Subject: 1. I think having Pamela and Robert together is crucial and one of the most important decisions Jamie had to make. I think Jamie knew what he was doing when he paired them up as they seem to balance each other in terms of experience, knowledge, guts etc. 2. I think women are important to Jamie and his closest and most trusted relationshipis seem to be mostly with women so it didn't surprise me that Jamie picked Pamela to head his organization and give her male support. I dont think Jamie necessary follows the social and cultural norms at all times so I wouldnt expect him to do what others think is proper at the time with women. 3. Jonathan's warnings gave me chills and made not like Andrei very much. I dont know, just something about Andrei I dont trust and it makes me nervous and very very worried for Jamie.

  • (Ch. 20, Q2) Jamie appreciates Pamela's business capabilities, but I think he also knows that she'd be the last person on earth to regard him as dead if he were to be AWOL for a time. She can be counted on to protect his interests best when others might be ready to cash in. (Ch. 20, Q3) Great question. Don't have the book in front of me, and probably should be re-reading this chapter before giving an answer, but am going to take a stab at it anyway. The Book of Romans in the New Testament is generally regarded as an epistle offering loving kindness, comfort and hope in hard times. Not sure this is necessarily something Cindy would refer to, but I sort of like the possible connection. (NT) -- Elaine, 07:06:43 06/28/12 Thu
  • I too thought of "Romans".....but when I reviewed the chapter I noticed of all the books Pamela pulled from the shelves, the Bible was not among them. So I started wondering if it was a reference to Robert and his Uncle? (NT) -- PeggyB, 07:22:47 06/28/12 Thu
