Subject: Q1. He seems to be pondering a lot of things, he's still depressed/sad over Marian and feeling regret. His grandfather- maybe something to do with family connections, which he doesn't have, his horrible grandfather who marked him for life. Funny though, I find the scenes between Nicholas and Fat Father Jordan fascinating and often some of the best in the series. The atmosphere practically crackles when they are in a scene together. Q2. He's a genius, he's a leader of a crack army and he's got a reputation for making money. People are clearly drawn to something in him as well, because they get very attached and have a hard time letting him go, when it's time for him to go. I'm pretty sure I'd be hanging off his leg begging him not to go. :)

  • 1) I'm in agreement with Cindy on this one. He's still in mourning, still very depressed. Cindy's right - the encounters between FFJ and Nicholas are some of the most intense scenes in the series! (2) Again, Cindy's basically covered it. Nicholas knows how to make money for other people, and that makes everybody want a piece of him. Plus he's got a great mind for military strategy and such. Nicholas is a regular Renaissance superhero. (NT) -- Elaine, 16:47:23 03/12/12 Mon
