• Totally worth it! When I try to describe this series to others I find it difficult. It's not an easy series to get into, the language is often foreign or archaic, the protagonist is a bastard a lot of the time, and the sex is almost non-existent, the plot is filled with historical detail to the point where all is confusing ...but....it is completely absorbing and addictive. • It was worth it! I'll admit to being a little drained by them all, but it was a great use of my brain and a wonderful story overall. There will be scenes that will forever stand out for me in this series. Thank you for encouraging me to continue after I stumbled through those first two.
