OK, I voted. I would like to suggest that we might want to reconsider any that don't make the cut for next year. Looks like a lot of great books! Regarding Jane Austen, I am asking around among my Austen-fan friends for a suggestion (DebraMc is strongly recommending "Persuasion"). -- Shamrocks & Stones

- Persuasion is really good. I've read three or four of Jane Austen's books, and it sticks in my head as much as Pride and Prejudice. Also there's a wonderful movie version with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. Or there's the one with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones. (NT) -- celtgirl, 11:19:21 01/08/12 Sun
