Subject: Indeed, Lymond is high strung and goes to extremes. On top of that, Philippa has nothing to compare her situation to. She has had no other lovers and likely doesn't know that physical contact can be gentle and tender. To her it can only be horrific. It is what it is. I can accept it.. After all, we know that .....

Philippa is able to heal and move on. It was just hard to accept on the first read. I really thought that their great love for one another should be able to overcome any obstacle.
