Subject: No peer pressure, no greed, gratitude for all he has, an incredible bond with his mother, a strong sense of security . . . all positives gained from his situation. The negatives really only become apparent to HIM when he leaves Room, and based on his desire to go back there at first, it's obvious he was actually very happy there because he has no idea what he was missing.

  • I was really torn about this question - on one side I think he's got a wonderful relationship with his mother and a great amount of security. But there is so much he doesn't know or experience that helps him grow and mature. there are so many times as a mother that I wish I could protect my children from the ills of the world, but on the other hand there are lessons to learn and growth to be had in those experiences.
