With talk of Pan or Puck, did you choose this statue because you were thinking of Danny? I had some laugh-out-loud- moments in the beginning of this chapter due to Danny. I imagined him as the Cheshire Cat, sitting comfortably with a huge grin on his face while taking in the action between Marthe and Sybilla. He was looking for a good show, and I think he got one! I enjoyed seeing Sybilla through Danny's eyes, and how he saw such similarities between her and Francis. I sobered up with the later section of the chapter though. Philippa's situation makes me so sad. She loves Francis, even admits it to Catherine, but expects to be denied that love for the rest of her life. -- Shamrocks & Stones
