• True confession time. The first time I read this book, I initially thought the alternating chapters were the same character in different times, one after returning to the human world, one when he lived with the changeling tribe.   • If you look at the chapter title pages you'll see the ones written as Aniday have a little tree symbol at the start. At least my copy of the book has this. I think I caught on to the alternating chapters pretty quickly, but not the tree symbol at first. In one book I recently read, maybe 'Sarah's Key', the author used bold print for chapters written in the voice of a character in the past, and regular print for the present-day character (or vice versa).
