Subject: I am really interested in reading the sequel to Cape Random/Random Passage - I think that would make a good summertime book. King Hereafter is pretty daunting ... not sure I'm ready to tackle that just yet! Maybe when Tati's more self-motivated with her schoolwork, like in about 6 years!

  • What do those who have read some of the Irish books that were mentioned this past week during Carla's Craic? I have Brendan O'Carroll, Roddy Doyle and Nora Roberts written down (although I haven't read them) and wondered if they might fit for light summer reading. (NT) -- Lil, 13:40:51 03/22/09 Sun
  • The Brendan O'Carroll books are light and short reads. Roddy Doyle's "Barrytown Trilogy" which includes "The Committments," "The Van" and "The Snapper" are light, his others aren't. (NT) -- Carla, 19:09:40 03/22/09 Sun
