Subject: The Brendan O'Carroll books are light and short reads. Roddy Doyle's "Barrytown Trilogy" which includes "The Committments," "The Van" and "The Snapper" are light, his others aren't.
In reply to: Lil 's message, "What do those who have read some of the Irish books that were mentioned this past week during Carla's Craic? I have Brendan O'Carroll, Roddy Doyle and Nora Roberts written down (although I haven't read them) and wondered if they might fit for light summer reading." on 13:40:51 03/22/09 Sun
