Isabella Ilacqua, President and Founder of Mrs. United States today announced the official appointment of Christopher Raphael as Producer/Director of this year’s pageant. He is also President of The Really Spectacular Company in New York – www.reallyspectacular.com
* CHRIS RAPHAEL has produced, written and directed 13 World Travel Awards shows at numerous international venues including Universal Studios, (Los Angeles), The Ritz Carlton (Montego Bay), Caesars Palace, (Las Vegas), The Plaza Hotel, (New York) Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden and most recently in Turks & Caicos. He was instrumental in producing the first ever ‘live’ television show broadcast from the Bahamas with Regis Philbin. Raphael won rave reviews for his original production of “Nights On Broadway” for Caesars Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City in 2002 and subsequently went on to produce and direct an additional 2 “Nights” due to their overwhelming success. He produced the SRO Diana Ross comeback show at Caesars for their 25th Anniversary in 2004. He has also worked with numerous celebrities and entertainers including; John Lennon, Michael Douglas, Heather Locklear, Bill Maher, Celine Dion, Tyra Banks, Regis Philbin, Geraldo Rivera, Billy Crystal, John O Hurley, Bebe Neuwirth, Jack Nicholson, Goldie Hawn, Dame Edna Everage, Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers, Sean Penn, Sharon Stone, Jesse L. For over 20 years, Lon has been one of the most highly sought after musicians in the country, functioning as musical director, conductor, arranger, producer and technical director for TV, production shows, performers and for large scale corporate events/award presentations. Lon’s primary vehicle for bringing high energy, world-class music to Las Vegas on a weekly basis is the Lon Bronson Band. Formed in 1990, the band is enjoying an unprecedented run. Lon was Musical Director for HBO’s Mr. Vegas All Night Party Starring Drew Carey - As Musical Director for the comedy/variety TV special Lon arranged, composed and coordinated all the music for his own ensemble and for the featured guest stars. * The "Parade of States"/"State Costume" Presentation will be discontinued and replaced by a special element in the contest. It allows everybody to get out in Las Vegas as well as having something more interesting to film for television.

Congratulations Mrs. Michigan United States 2009, Jeannette Greco Pawlowski! Representing East Central Michigan in the pageant, Jeannette works as a public school teacher and graduated from Madonna University with two separate bachelor degrees in Education and in Public Relations / Marketing. She is an active volunteer in the community and this year has made over 25 appearances at local events to donate her time and efforts to help the organizations that are dear to her heart. Jeannette helps and gives to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Camp Casey (a therapeutic horseback riding camp for kids with cancer), Generation Rescue (Jenny McCarthy’s organization to help find a cure for autism).
Congratulations Mrs. Michigan United States 2008, Heidi Scheer! Representing Oakland County in the pageant, Heidi and her husband Doug reside in Commerce Township along with their three children Carson (8), Gannon (7), and Ella (4). Heidi is the owner of The Royal Treatment Boutique and is co-owner of Scheer Genius Productions with her husband. Together they perform, educate, and reach out to thousands of Michigan’s youth. Heidi is a national spokesperson for Autism Recovery. She has met with Governor Granholm to establish April 5th as Autism Intervention Day and Heidi has participated in rallies from Lansing to Washington D.C. As a Rescue Angel for Generation Rescue, she has served as a contact for parents looking for guidance in treating their children’s autism. As Mrs. Michigan, her outreach work will be on behalf of The Autism Society of America, the Autism Research Institute, Defeat Autism Now!, and the Judson Center.
