This letter to the editor in today's San Jose Mercury News bears reading:

"The tea partyers have taken hypocrisy to a new level. I suppose that the group who gathered downtown are aware that they gathered at a 'socialist' public park, having arrived there over 'socialist' public roads, or worse, the 'socialist' Valley Transportation Authority) and were protected by the 'socialist' SJPD. And let's not forget that at some point most or all of them attended our 'socialist' public schools. And as to the uninsured young woman who opposes the Obama health care plan because she is healthy: If she was hit by a car leaving the tea party, she would find herself at the 'socialist' Valley Medical Center." (whose costs of treatment would be met by the taxpayer)
