Majhiik is vaguely aware another portal and the thunder of colossal paws, the quills on his back standing on end and floppy ears going stiff, lifting off his skull slightly. One six-fingered hand lifts to his scalp and drags through his headfur as his tongue darts out across his lips. Slowly, he turns around in circles, the light from his headgear not doing much to illuminate more than a little circle of ground around his feet, plus the wheelbarrow.

Just then, the padding of drat paws begins to draw nearer and Tunder's voice booms from the shadows (as quietly as he'd tried to make it, any noise is painfully loud in such oppressive silence), causing Majhiik to whirl in that direction while letting a hand slip to the sleek blaster on his hip. His head tilts back and his ears settle calmly down to his skull upon an inspection of the mammoth creature's face - he doesn't recognize the species nor the individual, but he figures there were many he didn't know or doesn't remember. The vygun does nod in greeting, touching two fingers to his light-bearing forehead in a salute. Before he can voice a greeting, however, the Kumayaki coalesces from nowhere. Her voice, he remembers clear as day.. turning slowly and slate eyes widening, Majhiik instantly drops to one knee, long neck bent into a respectful arch. 'The Five Deaths,' he speaks, tone soft and more bewildered than anything. Once this is done, he rises and addresses both of them.

'Thank you. I thought for a moment I was alone.. the silence can be deafening..'

When Redan detaches himself from the shadows and approaches the pool of light surrounding the vygun, Majhiik nods carefully - his species isn't known for any remarkable energy use, and he can't relate the black with the energy field surrounding them. 'Greetings, Korat,' he does, however, offer. 'it has been long since I've seen one of your kin. It's a welcome sight.' A little smile creases the corners of his lips. His voice remains soft, as if restrained.. his usual intensity held in check until he's more comfortable with his surroundings.

And that Tarok.. Majhiik remembers her. He knows her voice more so than anything, and it causes a ripple to run through his ears and his head to turn so both eyes burning with emotion - none in particular - afresh. A bitter snort of a laugh escapes him. 'It's been a long thirty years, Januya.' He almost adds a sheepish if I remember correctly, but decides to leave his tone confident and calm rather than friendly.
