EP’s EBSCOhost Applications Engineering team is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to create and update functional automation scripts in support of the EAE Quality Assurance effort. The engineer will also report and enter defects found during the test’s execution. Essential functions of this position include: • Develop and execute automated tests for server components, system interfaces and client components based on manual test scripts, available documentation, and experience. • Use knowledge of systems and technologies, as well as troubleshooting skills, to investigate defects in order to determine the potential cause for failed tests. • Enhance the automated test suite, reporting services, and processes as needed. • Perform quality engineering reviews of automation scripts for compliance with department standards. • Track quality assurance metrics as appropriate. • Effectively communicate with QA and Development team members. • Clearly and concisely report defects. Skills Required qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 5 years experience in a related field. • 3+ years experience with software Quality Assurance. • 3+ years experience with automation tools and techniques. • 2+ years experience with the C# programming language. • 2+ years of experience with Web Application technology, including IIS, and .NET. • 2+ years experience with relational databases and SQL Server. • 2+ years of experience with Unit testing techniques. • 2+ years of experience in a team leadership role. Qualified applicants must have an understanding of general performance testing concepts and experience working with multi-tiered application systems. Experience using test automation scripting languages such as Perl and VB Script is preferred.
