CSC, in support of the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, located in Cambridge, MA has an immediate requirement for a senior level Software Test Lead. The qualified candidate will be a key contributor in providing test and build procedures for a new Web based system used to store and retrieve FAA Aircraft Safety information and documents. This application is being developed as part of an enterprise suite of applications which will be developed over the next several years. The application is being developed using Microsoft SQL Server 2008, C# and the .NET 3.5 Framework using Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) 2008. The successful candidate should possess 7-9 years of manual testing experience on Web based applications being developed with Microsoft tools, as well as a demonstrated ability to create detailed test specifications and test plans. Automated test experience with VSTS Test Suite 2008 a definite plus.
Qualifications
• 6+ years of test experience using Microsoft development, test and configuration management tools as well as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with enterprise service architecture a definite plus
• Experience testing Web based database applications.
• Candidate will be required perform adhoc database queries using the MS SQL Server Management console
• Automated test experience with VSTS Test Suite 2008 a definite plus.
• Candidate must also have the communication and technical writing skills necessary to produce formal test specifications and test plans
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong time management, priority allocation and task management skills
• Strong presentation skills to present test results to individuals and groups
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
