I recommend seeing the movie "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" about the Irish Uprising 1916 and the Irish Civil War 1919-1922. Starring Cork native Cillian Murphy, directed by Ken Loach and set on location in County Cork, the movie looks at the lives of two brothers united in the Uprising and torn apart during the Civil War.

It won the 2006 Palme D'Or film award at the 59th Cannes Film Festival in France which is the highest film award.

If it's not in movie theatres, it's well worth renting.

Regards.
