Her interview is also spectacular, so so sweet and engaging. I do believe it will be NECK AND NECK FOR THE CROWN BETWEEN RUSSIA< FRANCE< AND DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!!
Ada is definitely one of the strongest girls out there. She’s got a beautiful face that can go from sweet to fierce in a matter of a seconds. Though some experts here disagree, I think she has got an amazing body and presentation. In her interviews though english is definitely not her forte, she had good presence and confidence just like the reigning miss universe did in her interview last year.

Just imagine the big WOW from the judges when she entered the room together with Miss Korea…. Emiri was wearing this mini-gold&silver-dress when she met the judges for the preliminary interview and they absolutely loved it!
Emiri said that they asked her tons of questions about it, which brand is it? Where did you buy it? ect….AND…..the interview went GREAT! I knew she would do beautiful.
She spoke in both English as a conversation with the judges about herself, her fashion, her dream, then in Japanese when they asked her about her favorite pianists, as Emiri plays piano since she was a little girl. She used an interpreter.
She said that she feels very confident that she did well and I am sure of it.

Algunas sugerencias para que Ada luzca aún más impactante en la noche final, que es verdaderamente donde las candidatas se tienen que lucir.
1) Ada debe llevar unas extensiones frondosas para modelar en traje de baño y dar más pelo. Algo con volúmen pero que sea de buena calidad. La gente de CHI deben tener buenas extensiones por ahí, además de que en Bahamas abunda el tipo de pelo de Ada. Para el traje de noche, un buen recogido tal cual lo lució en la preliminar. Ese moño la hace destacar por su elegancia y porte.
2) Ada debe caminar más despacio en su pasarela de traje de baño. En la preliminar lo hizo muy rápido, aunque esto no deslució su desempeño. Algo así como la pasarela de Renata en Tailandia, para que se demuestre su elegancia y naturalidad. En cuanto a la actitud y garra, pues Ada lo hace muy bien. No necesita más.
3) Ada NO debe llevar zapatos de plataformas con el vestido de noche. Eso la hace lucir muy tacky/corriente. Unos zapatos de tacón alto es más que suficiente. Ada es alta y el largo del vestido no amerita unas plataformas que la hagan lucir anormalmente alta. Para eso le recomiendo unas zapatillas doradas con straps, algo que se vea sexy, glamoroso y fino.
4) Segun leí en el periódico Primera Hora de Puerto Rico, a las candidatas se les permitirá cambiar el vestido de noche para la final. Si Leonel tiene un vestido más espectacular y en otro color para Ada, pues hagan todas las pruebas necesarias para ver como Ada lo luce y cuáles angulos debe mostrar para sorprender a los jueces.
5) Ada debe responder la pregunta final en español. Digo esto pues es segurisimo que Ada clasifique al top 5. No tengo dudas con ella. Contestando en español le permite escuchar la pregunta en inglés, analizarla mientras el traductor le explica, y así formula una respuesta convincente y puede mostrar mayor seguridad al exponer sus argumentos.
Con todos estos consejos, estoy seguro que tendremos una Miss Universo el próximo domingo. Por favor alguien que les haga llegar estos consejos en buena vibra a Magali y Leonel para que nuestra reina se luzca.

If you’re reading this, then I suspect you probably watched the Miss Universe Presentation show online as millions of pageant fans did around the world, and have already formed your own opinions of who was hot and who was not. However, as one of the thousands sitting in the theatre and watching it live, I can tell you that seeing is believing. The 2009 Miss Universe presentation show was truly a feast for the senses.
The ever morphing stage designed by Art Director Joe Stewart was the first image to stir you – hues of lilac, lavender and mauve were reflected on crystal like sculptures hanging from the ceiling and on six of nine giant screens. On the three center screens, a mysterious blue wave. Within seconds, the theme changes to shades of turquoise, a reflection of the beautiful waters surrounding the Bahamas. And this is all before the show begins!
Shortly before 8 p.m. the stage was darkened as the contestants positioned themselves. And then the show began with the contestants introductions. The ladies looked lovely wearing white halter dresses with a floral panel, lending a touch of island flair. Pageant fans from across the globe have gathered here and they vigorously cheered on their favorites. Receiving the most applause were the contestants from Colombia, Dominican Republic, Great Britain, India, Israel, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, and Ukraine. However, the largest cheers came for Misses Bahamas, USA and Venezuela. The show’s hosts Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza and local radio personality Ed Field were introduced next and after light banter, they went straight into the swimsuit competition.
The colors of the stage took on a warm, earthy tone with shades of mustard, brick and red for the swimsuit portion of the show. Standouts in swimsuit were Angola, Australia, Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Honduras, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Namibia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, Ukraine and Venezuela with Dominican Republic leading the pack. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, Ada Aimée de la Cruz (photo) commanded your attention with her amazing catwalk and fabulous physique.
Following entertainment by London based singer Anthoney Wright, the stage took on the regal colors of purple and blue for the evening gown competition. Standouts were Angola, Australia, Bahamas, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Kosovo, Namibia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Russia, USA and Venezeula. In my opinion, the gowns of the night belonged to Misses Angola, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, USA and Venezuela.
Several national directors were in the audience. Among them, Venezuela’s Osmel Sousa; Mexico’s Lupita Jones; Puerto Rico’s Désirée Lowry; Romania’s Mike Costache; and the Dominican Republic’s Magali Febles with whom I briefly spoke during dinner after the show.
The preliminary interview round begins on Monday and is expected to last over a course of three days. And then the fate of the top 15 will be sealed. We of course won’t find out who they are until the finale on August 23rd.

Efectivamente estas imagenes es para uno quedar como Condorito - PLOP!!! - con las patas pa' arriba. Esta exacta - y estoy de acuerdo con Andres, este es el maquillaje de ADA. El que mas bello le queda. Le protagoniza, le destaca sus ojos preciosos. El pelo pues adecuado para la ocasion.
