Telemarketing scumbags.....a black eye for all coin dealers... -- Norwester, 10:51:19 09/20/09 Sun [1]

.
...Thurs & Friday last week I viewed over 500K worth of
coins that had been sold to two different ELDERLY buyers
by coin telemarketers...those 'dialing-for-dollars' sleeze-
bags who work "client lists" focusing primarily on elderly
customers who seem to be more suceptable to their slimy
sales pitches.....

The first group I saw was roughly 100K worth of, primarily,
readily-available modern coinage that had been "slabbed"
by the major grading services -- modern commemorative
dollars, halves, and Proof Gold Eagles and Platinum Proofs,
etc. -- ALL of which was certainly salable stuff, but all
of which he had been charged 2 to 3X "reality" for at the
time he was talked into the purchase....This buyer was in
his mid-80's at the time, a widower who had few outside
interests or family nearby and was "easy pickins'" for the
slick-talking salesman....The 100K worth of 'numismatics'
he'd been talked into buying was worth, at best $30K even
with the run-up in Gold prices in recent years...

The second lot was sold to a wealthy gentleman who was/is
suffering from alzheimer's -- the guy doesn't know if he is
on foot or horseback at this point -- a sad situation for a
man in his early 60's....HE was "planted" by two different
sleezeball 'coin companies' in over $400K worth of the same
sort of thing -- overpriced slabbed Proof Eagles and such
along with a healthy dose of extremely overpriced 'discovery'
coins recovered from the shipwreck of the USS Redpublic
steamship, "processed" by the salvage company, slabbed by
one of the grading services and sold for 10-20X real-world
value to unsuspecting buyers who fell for the 'romance' of
the supposedly RARE coinage that had been recovered...Most
of this stuff was sandblasted crap labeled 'shipwreck
effect' by the grading service [NGC] and embarrassment to
any knowledgeable collector and stuff that's virtually
unsalable in the real world markets....really disgusting...
At best, this group MAY be worth $125-$130K of the $400K
the guy paid for it....ugh....However, the working partners
of his company are not about to take this lying down and
will be contacting these sleezeball telemarketers via their
lawyers (and they HAVE the $$$ to fight this thing through,
too...) Most people, when they finally discover they've
been "planted" in a bunch of overgraded/overpriced 'stuff'
just bite the bullet and dump it for huge losses...I hope
these guys make the telemarketers EAT IT and are able to
get some of the man's money back....

It never ceases to amaze me how people will send many
thousands of dollars to these slick-talking phone salesmen
for something they know little or nothing about because it's
been promoted to be such a "great investment" when they'd
never buy a sight-unseen car or house or expensive piece of
jewelry! .....sheesh...

prominent physician in IL, he chairman of their medical
licensing board. Supposedly he was poisoned, too, but
I have no way of verifying that.

Now a good buddy of mine has done cardiac surgery for
30+ years and has had a few choice things to say. Such
as, 75% of bypasses are unnecessary. He's got some real
horror stories. But like the rest of us, he has to make

Norwalk juicers -- moonshot, 12:15:34 09/16/09 Wed [1]

They're still being manufactured in L.A. I wouldn't buy a new one for $2400 when a used $400 unit will still last multiple generations.

The Welles Press works well except I've read complaints the pressing trays are plastic and may be prone to premature breakage, plus it ain't cheap. There was a predecessor by K&K that was all stainless steel. Somewhere out there is a is a $59 SS frame that you can put a $29 2 ton jack into and use. Some folks just build their own frame in the garage and use a jack in it.

These separate presses are sworn by their users to be superior to Norwalk when used with a Greenstar twin gear juicer. I've had them all and can't argue with the Greenstar with separate press folks as far as nutrient value however, the Norwalk is hands down easier and quicker to clean and operate.

I can dig out the $59 SS frame info if any one wants it.

[Edit]

Actually, they didn't run him out - strat -- moonshot, 11:59:43 09/16/09 Wed [1]

they poisoned him with arsenic - twice -- He was just finishing up his manuscript "A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases and the Cure of Advanced Cancer" when he took ill. He tested himself and detected high amounts of arsenic. While treating himself, his secretary disappeared with the manuscript. After curing himself and rewriting the manuscript he died of arsenic poisoning. I think wikipedia says he died of cancer, lol.

Similar fate happened to Rife. San Diego can be a tough neighborhood if you piss off the PTB.

Unfortunately, today there aren't any more sources left in the world for untainted liver. The Gerson Institute removed the liver injections from the program.

Gerson Therapy is poo poo'd by the medical establishment and mainstream media as quackery. Gerson has documented case after case of patients entirely cured after being sent home to die after being radiated, chemo'd or cut. The therapy isn't 100% effective for 100% of the patients but still is highly effective on the vast majority.

I may have a Gerson book or two around still, but
it would take some digging to find them. And anything
in the books is probably on the net. We had to find
strictly organic produce to do the therapy, and at
one point, we were using Argentinian beef liver as
part of the therapy. Even in 78-79, American beef
had a certain 'taint' to it.

Therapy Costs - strat -- moonshot, 09:03:18 09/16/09 Wed [1]

Admittedly the clinic is expensive however, able bodied patients can practice the therapy at home with relatively low costs.

The pain control has a lot to do with the coffee enemas. I laughed when I first heard of it but didn't laugh after trying it.

The therapy gets the body's own immune system firing on all 8 cylinders. The coffee enemas purge the excess toxin accumulation from the liver. Otherwise the liver will suffer greatly from the overload of toxins being purged from the therapy.

Coffee enemas were used during WWI as a morphine substitute. It acts as a pain killer and induces a relaxed state, opposite effect of taking coffee orally.
http://www.naturalnews.com/026289_coffee_coffee_enemas_coffee_enema.html

warning - Coffee enemas alone should not be administered routinely without good reason as it would begin to deplete the body of nutrients.

Gerson Therapy? -- strat, 08:28:06 09/16/09 Wed [1]

My father did Gerson Therapy at the Tijuana Clinic
after a botched thoracotomy (left lung removal) back
in '78. It's expensive, something on the order of
10G's a week now. They have a clinic in AZ now, too,
but due to med regs may be geared to cleansing only.
The amazing thing about Gerson's Therapy was the lack
of pain. Even though my father was not cured (the
thoracotomy FU'ed him up), they told him he would not
have the pain normally associated with CA (cancer).
About ten years later, when I was a hospice volunteer,
I remember my old man only having to take aspirin for
pain control as we were shooting as much as 120mg of
morphine into patients in the inpatient unit at hospice.

Rack,

It's none of my business but here's a couple videos comparing traditional medicine to alternative therapy. Dying to have known is a follow the money expose and The Gerson Miracle reveals the effectiveness of a simple, low cost nutritional therapy. There are more quack alternative therapies than legitimate however, Gerson is one of those that's legit. This may not be for your daughter's illness but I would take a peek. The vids focus mainly on cancer patients but the list of terminal, "incurable", degenerative, and mystery illnesses that it's effective on is virtually endless. Max Gerson cured Albert Schweitzer and Schweitzer's entire family of different incurable diseases with this method. Albert Schweitzer acknowledged this publicly.

These vids are copyrighted and probably wont remain free online for long.

Libby folks -- mudturtle, 23:09:57 09/10/09 Thu [1]

just about got me feeling as though there is a core of folks that get it and will be around to pick up the pieces when it shakes out. There are other venues that will jack up one's attitude out there. I haven't been to an Experimental Aircraft Assn. Fly-in for many years. Those people are the sort that gives a morose feck like me an emotional boost because of their general independence and a will to make things happen on their own.
The attendees at N'w/Cobb thing know the score. For the most part we have few illusions on how bad it can and will get. None there had anything resembling the goldbug stereotype of worshiping #79 and the miserly foilhat hatred of the producer people. All seem to be very willing to dump gold and these defensive positions if the goomint would just GTF out of the way for productive investment in a stable monetary system.
All of the noise from the many levels of goo are in harmony on how they will steal even more than the half that they already take. Why should anyone want to risk a life's savings in a racket like now?
The bias on many people that would invest in new techniques is frozen by fear of their capital being seized by the uncontrollable parasites.

Man charged over $35,000 beer theft .. -- Delta-au, 03:04:28 09/07/09 Mon [1]

6 Sept 2009 12:21:01 PM
A Libby man has been charged with stealing a Sea Container full of premium Belgian beer worth $35,000, Montana police say. Police allege two men stole a shipping container holding 1,349 cartons of Hoegaarden beer from a storage yard on August 20. "It will be alleged that at 6.05pm two men using a side-loading container trailer, stole a sea container containing 1,349 cartons of Hoegaarden beer," police spokeswoman Susan Usher said.

The incident was captured on security footage and police identified two people of interest, police spokesman Samuel Dinnison said. Detectives and Customs officers executed a search warrant at a house in Libby on Wednesday.

A 57-year-old man wearing a bad-taste Hawaian T-Shirt was charged with stealing the beer and cannabis possession. The man will appear in the Libby Court on Tuesday September 15.

Mr Dinnison said some beer had been recovered but the investigation was continuing. Police were still working to identify the second man on the security footage. He was wearing a new set of bib overalls splattered in what appears to be BBQ sauce.

Under Col. Cobb orders, we used the hat for target practice sightin' in. The funny thing is that I was sure I had hit the logo and at first glance the logo was untouched. Looking at it from the inside, the logo was struck 5 times butt the logo fronted the steel crossbeam on the target stand and the shots never penetrated the patch. Fvckin' vampires. We haven't killed GS yet.

The hat will be awarded to low man at the shooting competion tommorrow.

I was driving up near the Canadian border a couple of months ago. Looking down into this broad valley I say huge fields of yellow. So, I dropped into the valley to see what was growing there. Turned out to be a Bud hops growing operation. The hops fields go on for miles. They even have an apartment complex, complete with sports fields for their wetbacks.

This may be stating the obvious, but, there was a big sign at the entrance to the hops operation. It said "We buy rat piss", heh, heh!

Just kidding of course, however, not about the hops fields. Pretty interesting.

Rack,
How much brass are you looking for? I pay $20.00 for a five gallon bucket full of brass from my local range. 85% of the brass is NATO stuff because it's a Marine Corps range at Camp Allen. I shake out alot of .45 brass when I buy it.

They do a good job keeping it separate, steel and aluminum case stuff goes into one barrel, brass in another. They give me the steel stuff for free.

"If you would care to remember, I wanted to

4. I went to an extremely attractive female doctor

told me, "because I am trying to examine you."

5. I was walking down the road today and saw my

up to him, "What's up Abdul, won't it start?"

can't take a joke -- AeweWuf -- Pyrite, 10:02:12 08/25/09 Tue [1]

Well, there's 2 things you should know by now.

1. I joke with everyone and seldom post serious shit.
2. I would NEVER mess with someone's food to cause them harm.

As far as health goes, the Pyrite pair is dealing with their own and possibly as dire.

Sondra has contracted Leukocytoclastic vasculitis and she's looking forward to the Libby trip even though it could prove to be a complication.

It's auto immune in nature and serious as a heart attack or more so. It can erupt anywhere and last month hit her kidneys and spiked her urine protein parabolically and turned serious in a flash. She takes massive doses of a "starter" chemo drug and it still erupts. It was only discovered and diagnosed a matter of a few months ago but has altered our lives dramatically.

If it "happens" to head for an organ other than the kidney, it can. A heart or brain lesion IS a possibility.

I didn't plan to make it known, but this changed my mind. You're not the only one with problems.

I plan to make the trip as enjoyable as possible and I try to keep HER spirits up with jokes and shit, too.
You can rest assured that my joking was not intended as an insult to your condition.

Which just leaves the hanging "asshole" to be dealt with.

If it was a term of endearment, everything's cool.
If it was serious, a retraction is in order and we'll be good to go.

How's that?

bogart -- AeweWuf, 20:27:14 08/23/09 Sun [1]

such sharing is a source for gluten contamination.
one case study showed how a couple, which were stricly following contamination protocols, dosed
the husband who was contaminated by exposure to wife's
fingers after eating... he'd sit on the outhouse for an
hour as a 'classic celiac' exposure reaction.
(as opposed to 'latent or silent celiac' who has other
symtoms, not excluding hypercrapping.) repeated contamination
can renew brain damage; plaque building, scaring,
and substandard oxygenation (brain perfusion) of the critical
grey matter.
(brain fog)resulting in reduced cognative function and worse.
gata stay clean for six or seven years befor dropping your
guard.

ANOTHER thing you NEVER do wid a High Standard -- Pyrite, 18:34:13 08/23/09 Sun [1]

is use the slide release to release the slide.
It WILL round off the slide corner to the point where the slide release won't even HOLD the slide back.
But then, that's onlee common sense.
I mean WHO in their right mind would go releasin the slide with the slide release?

Now the ROOGER deals wit da issue by havin a slide release that is too fuckin STIFF to push down an release the slide.

WHICH... affer all is sed n dun ackshully TRAINS ya to do it properly in da first place where yer SPOSED to release da slide by pullin the slide back an releasin it.

(even applies to the 1911. I wood snatch my Gold Cup away fum any dam fool hoo looked like he wuz gonna release the slide with the slide release)

Dere's a lotta frickshun on that liddle corner where the slide release fits up in da slide.

The High Standard I used to own was a pain in the ass! Toward the end I discovered that the firing spring was installed backwards and it had a nasty habit of scumming up and also if you dried fired it, it would pein the chamber in-had to use a jack knife to cut away the excess. You might try oiling it with transmission oil, that seems to wok real well. CLP does also

YAAAAHHHHHahahahahaha. Onee time I saw "leading" like dat wuz when a buddy who lived in NORTH DAKOTA (so ya know heez crazee) and who regularly loaded ammo to...oh... about 40% over "max", cooked up some really spiffy .38 WADCUTTERS!
Pure lead.
He figgered that the wadcutter shape was optimal for STOPPING so the only thing they lacked was VELOCITY.
An he got VELOCITY!
The first 3 shots were FFFUUUUUNNNNN!!!
We shot at a lake about 150 yards away an there wuz splashes awmost before the blast reached yer eerz.
BUT... suddenly he wuz MISSING the abandoned PANEL TRUCK we wuz usin fer a targit.
