I find it silly that they were so surprised that she had two gynecologists. That should not have had any significance. *I* have two gyns. I have my regular OB/GYN whom I go to for my annual exams and stuff, and I have my fertility doctor, who is also a GYN.

Where I live, GYNs do one or the other: regular gynecological stuff or fertility. They don't have time to do both. My regular GYN, while she has some knowledge of fertility treatments, is not up on current fertility science and doesn't have time for that anyway (fertility treatments can be extensive, complicated, and time consuming). Likewise, my fertility doctor doesn't have time for routine gynecological procedures and only treats people with fertility issues who have been referred by their regular GYN. So I would say that ANYONE who is going through fertility treatments would HAVE to have 2 gynecologists.

This shouldn't have been a red flag for them last night. But then, the writers would have needed *something* to point the team in the right direction, and I guess they just figured that it would seem reasonable to the average viewer. I guess I just have too much personal experience in that area for me to buy it. But then again, how many times were we supposed to suspend reality while watching JAG? LOL

[> [> You know, that is where I think some of the plots have huge holes in them. There have been other episodes like that. I think they need to hire a medical consultant, if theyre going to use it as evidence. That was true some weeks back about a prescription, and also about a patients level of pain post surgery being evidence of a certain amount of a drug being withheld. It was just too far fetched. -- mkim I think we're a bit more scrutinizing than most viewers, so I'll cut them some slack., 19:39:16 02/17/07 Sat [1]
