Author: JAG Junkie (Ronda)
Subject: If he retired at the end of JAG and therefore did NOT take the O-6 position, then he would have retired as an O-5. I believe you have to actually serve as that rank for a certain period of time (one year? two?) in order to receive retirement benefits at that level. Although, in real life, you can't just retire all of a sudden...
In reply to: The Chief (got a twitter yesterday that Harm was spotted at Harrod's buying Mac a new mac... ;-) ) 's message, "Commander or Captain, it's still not as far as General, and he would have used "only achieved". I'm betting that DJE said that because he was only full Captain for about 50 minutes of the series (44 min of the last ep, and less than 6 min of the 2nd-to-last). Most people don't remember that. And WHY would he retire as LESS than a Captain? Wouldn't he retain the last rank achieved at retirement?" on 12:07:47 06/08/09 Mon
