Since the show began this season, they have shown Jimmy as assertive, ambitious and used to getting things done his way. That doesn't necessarily mean that he is corrupt. If you remember, Jimmy said that it was his friend, the murdered Judge, that encouraged him to run. I think that he chose Durkin as his campaign manager (something Spoilerfix couldn't even get right) because he was supposed to be the best. Besides, I doubt EO wants to risk angering JAE's fan base by making him corrupt and I think that even though Jimmy is supposed to be ambitious he still searches for the truth (ex. when the mentally retarded man killed the judge and Jimmy made the deal to take away the death penalty). It reminded me of our favorite flyboy. JMHO of course. :)
