Subject: I'm not sure I felt sorry for him, ever. Is there a difference between feeling sorry and empathy? I think thats where I was. I think this guys alcholism probably started before college(there are alot of teenage alcholics unfortunately) I'm by no means making an excuse for him, youre right, he never expected to go to jail, but I think the 12 step program, becoming a father himself brought home to him what he'd done. and as bad as it was...that was a good thing.

The guy was a spineless wimp, IMO. Oh, he was so brave sending the woman a Frickin' E-MAIL!?? If he knew where to find her, why not meet w/ her and her husband? And tell his WIFE first!

The guy's whole approach was, if it's not written on paper and she's the only one I send it to, then she's the only one who'll know. He had no idea what the consequences would be, and he obviously didn't play out any "worst case scenaria" before he hit "send".

Nope, had no sympathy or anything for that guy. He made a big mistake and got away with it for 12 (?) years. He should have shouted it from the mountaintop or kept his trap shut. There's no way to "whisper" something like that, but that's what he was trying to do.

The real woman who's story this ep was based on has started an organization to help other women. Even tho she was a victim at one point in time, she's choosing not to live like one and to use her experience to reach out to others. Regardless of the ending of the fictional tv show, the real story has a light at the end of the tunnel.
