She has gained weight since she gave up her title at Yakima, but she is still frighteningly thin. Nobody is naturally that thin. Her arms appear to be simply skin stretched over bone, and I have been around her for some stretch of time and never seen her eat. I do not make these remarks lightly, I am someone who has struggled with eating disorders and hope that if Reina has gone through one that she has family and friends to support her and help her with her health as she lives as Miss Washington. And she DOES work with a doctor about it. Instead of trying to start drama, why don't you just go ASK her! She is more than willing to talk about her history with being little. Stop spreading rumors. It's easy for someone to say that they don't have an eating disorder, but to spend a week with someone and never see them eat is another story all together. I have witnessed her sew pads into her clothes so she appears bigger. I understand that there are people that are naturally thin, but nobody, I repeat, NOBODY, is as naturally thin as Reina is. Ask ANY of the girls from state this year that were around her. She always had food with her and ate seconds and thirds during the provided meals. YES people are naturally that thin. Her mother is for heavens sake. Stop posting such cruel and hurtful comments on here and do something more useful with your time. Back off. Reina will be an amazing Miss Washington! The general public, especially young women have had enough pressure to be thin pushed at them over the years. We need to promote a healthier body and lifestyle. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

How are the kids at schools going to react to her? "Make good choices, but listen to what I say, not what I do." ??? If she didn't have an eating disorder, she should have made that her platform somehow instead of her fluffy one that somehow got her through. People look at her and immediately assume the girl needs a dinner roll. It just won't translate well at Miss America. This is not the USA system where stick (unhealthy) thin is encouraged. Date Posted: 14:42:53 07/18/13 Thu Author Host/IP: c-24-18-106-43.hsd1.wa.comcast.net/24.18.106.43 The only thing I have a problem with is this. Last year at the judges question session, someone asked a question about what they were looking for in swimsuit and what it meant to them. The judge said "If a girl can't put down a cheeseburger for a few months, then she obviously doesn't want to be Miss Washington" The problem with that, is that Reina can obviously eats whatever she wants and still be stick thin. Same with many other girls. Some girls will naturally have a harder time losing weight, and still be healthier than the girls winning swimsuit. Let's either call it what it really is (Swimsuit, not Lifestyle and Fitness) or ditch it all together. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
