I'm not sure how well OSQ correlates with overall interview performance, so Alicia and Catherine could both be fantastic in that arena for all we know.

Why not? On stage question gives you an insight to the contestant's ability to speak clearly, effectively, and with the appropriate personality of a titleholder. If they don't do well in the OSQ, it's not far fetched to believe they weren't strong in interview.

If you've ever competed in OSQ and interview, you know that despite the fact that the task is the same, they are two completely different experiences. I feel like one's mind is more likely to freeze during OSQ, since it doesn't have the same conversational feel as an interview does.

I have competed in a number of pageants, and been watching pageants all my life. And more often than not, OSQ DOES reflect their interview skills.

This of course is not the case EVERY time, but that is my opinion. And we are all giving our opinions, that's the purpose of this board. :)
