It's never too late, my brother. All you have to do is pick up a Bible and start reading about Christ's message of love, forgiveness, and everlasting life!

Bwwaaa-haa-haa! I *have* read it, you dolt! I've read not only the New Testament, but the Old as well. And I've read them many times. And those readings are what turned me into an atheist. Unlike yourself, I am not a gullible fool who believes any cock & bull story that comes from sun & drug addled desert madmen and those that took those stories, embellished them and wrote them up. And the New Testament? HAR! The Old Testament says that Jesus is nothing more than the Devil pulling wool over the sheep's eyes. And YOU are that sheep! But in this day and age people with any sense know that there are no such things as devils and gods. They no longer have any use. We don't need them to keep us safe from our superstitions and lack of scientific knowlege anymore. That is except backwards fools like yourself.

First thing, dickhead, I'm not a sinner. One has to be brainwashed into the faith to feel guilty that Eve suckered Adam into eating an apple. Christian sin. Non-Christians do not. I do not need to be forgiven for anything that I do. I accept responsibility for my errors in judgment myself. And if your mythical hell were to exist, there I will sit. Because I don't let OTHERS do my time for me. Only weaklings like yourself "sin" and write it all off on the bill of Jesus. Let HIM pick up the tab.

Second thing: I am NOT “St. Jackanapes.” That is a caricature that I created for the alt.flame.jesus.christ flame group to have fun with the evangelistic idiots who haunt the newsgroups. So I am going to step of character right now to converse with you.

Read the NT again? The NT is a bunch of bullshit. I suggest that you read the OT’s Ten Commandments again. Especially that part that says to have no other gods before me nor make any images of them. Yahweh did NOT change his commands. A fictional humanoid created from various actual historical Jewish events and the rest stolen from Greek myths, mostly the Hercules myths, and cobbled together by The Liar who called himself Saul/Paul. If only you could read the Bible from a perspective of a detached viewer, or like a historical detective. If I had that part of the brain that evolved to make the majority of humanity feel “spiritual” and needing to find a connection with something imaginary that is bigger than themselves, and with the logical way I think, I’d put my money on the Jews and would be signing up with them. Its *their* god – they invented him. They wrestled with him – they were chosen by him. He is still testing them until this day. Paul was so jealous of them and made that they wouldn’t allow non-circumcised gentile males to convert - a big sticking point – no adult male anywhere wants anyone else messing with their cock with a sharp knife in their hand. So he wrote that bit blaming them for Jesus’ death. Nice guy that Paul/Saul. The Holocaust wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t written that into his new religion. Paul invented religious intolerance.

I have *never* felt the presence of God. And I had a very religious upbringing. Not when my mother had me praying to god every night when I was 3 – I remember those prayer sessions very well. I never felt like I was praying to anyone. Don’t give me the usual line of crap that I wasn’t listening right or the other crap I’ve been told by bleaters over the years. I *was* listening when I was 3. When adults tell you stuff at that age, you believe them. I am a person born without that part of the brain that feels spirituality. I have no control over that.

When I was 16 I decided that it was time to investigate Christianity to see if I was making a mistake by not going along with the circus. I'd been a fence sitter all my life on the subject - not interested, but I had no reason to be able to doubt that such an event occurred. So I delved in and read everything that I could, and that includes the OT/NT. I came out of it an agnostic.

Then, after a serious illness, my lifelong best friend of 30 years – a Christian - came to me and gave me an NIV study bible. It was his way of trying to convert me. In his brainwashed mind he thought that somehow I would be comforted and free of despair in my illness if I found Jesus. I took him up on it and scoured the study bible over & over. The Internet had just come out and since I could not work I had plenty of time for research. And what I found reinforced my earlier studies, and opened my eyes completely. You see, I can see while YOU are blinded by your belief. I can read things that you would simply call heretical and dismiss. I am a very logical person in my thinking – people who know me personally say that I should be sitting on a bench somewhere as a judge due to my complete impartiality. YOU are completely incapable of this. I was able to cut through the myths & the lies on BOTH sides of the story, Christianity and those who are against it, and only consider valid arguments. This time I came out of my research an atheist.

So when you come into here making little “You’re an evil sinner and you’d better change your ways and read the bible or you’ll be sitting in hell!” type comments you look really stupid and unintelligent. Extremely childish is how you sound. You come off as someone who thinks that “Hey WHOO-HOO! I’m a Christian -I’m somebody that is part of something bigger than myself! I’m cool, I’m special, and so I’m going to go around the web and brag about how special I am by going to athirst websites and call them sinners! Then I’ll get some brownie points with the BIG GUY JESUS!” That’s how you’re coming off to me. A little snobby kid who hasn’t read his bible enough to know that Jesus admonished his followers to pray in CLOSETS and to never-ever BRAG about their faith in public! Boy, that bit right there makes 99.9% of Christians sinners, doesn’t it?

So, maybe YOU should go re-read the N/T – if you REALLY have read it – which I seriously I doubt you have. After you’ve bought yourself an NIV study bible and read the ENTIRE thing, including ALL of the liner notes – as I have – and you’ve grow up some and aren’t so fucking wet behind the ears (you come off sounding like a 15 year old) – why don’t you come back and we’ll have some *real* discussions.
