Subject: Have you been to a regular doctor? I have no experience with Naturopathics but I tell my Dr when I don't want cortisone or vicodin etc.
In reply to: Old Mom 's message, "Has anyone been to a Naturopathic doctor?" on 03:21:06 04/27/16 Wed

I have found that good orthos don't use cortisone shots for normal situations (you and I not being professional athletes wanting to play in the playoffs next week)

If I go in for something I list my goals and ask what's reasonable. "If possible I'd like to avoid surgery for another year" "Can I start with prescription strength motrin rather than vicodin?" etc.

I obviously don't know what your injury/illness is but I've had great success with this method at the conventional dr's office, once you find a good one. And this is a fairly good screening method for the not good ones.
