I could use a bit of womanly advice on yeast infections. Can I just treat it externally or do I have to use the internal/inserted meds?

I'm trying to go sort of natural. Was using raw vinegar, by mouth and application. The application was really sting-y and I didn't want to bother diluting it at all. So, I got me a Monostat-3 kit, but I kind of like the challenge of getting rid of it "the hard way". I've been using the external cream and it is definitely lessening my symptoms and discomfort. But, am I just easing the symptoms while an internal infection rages?

If I can do it the slow way, I'm happy doing it. However, if doing it the slow way is not actually going to *work*, I want to get started on the right way.
