Oh Ginny!!! Are you here??? Well, I just wanted to let you know that a 200 pound elf (Don't ask!!!) has delivered your gifties. He placed it on your front porch behind the ornamental santa. I'm glad he wasn't spotted because your neighbors would have probably called the police at the very sight of him. Don't tell him I told you but he does look silly in the green tights. ; ) Please let me know when it's been safely placed underneath your tree. Merry Christmas, Ginny and blessings in the New Year!! :) -- Secret Santa, 13:34:33 12/22/09 Tue [3]
TO ISABELLE: -- North Pole Excursions, 22:41:47 12/21/09 Mon [2]
Travel Elfie hopes to find you nestled in a comfy chair with your feet up.
Just two more travel days till Santa's hideaway.
Leg 12 - Boise, Idaho to Walla Walla, WA - 253 miles, 4hrs., 21 min.
Beer in St. Louis, beer in Denver and for something completely different...enough hops, you're in the land of grapes. There are over 100 wineries in the Walla, Walla area. Your Santa has personally sampled the wines at around 15% of them. Walla Walla Wineries
Historical floods contributed to the fine grape growing soil in the area. An ice dram broke in Montanta releasing a flood that scoured the area, carved out the Columbia River Gorge (Washington & Oregon)and covered what is now downtown Portland, Oregon under 200 ft. of water. Missoula Floods
One more day on the road, tomorrow, then...your destination - Secret Santa's Hideaway.
Hey Christmas Water Sprite -- PeggyB, 14:42:30 12/18/09 Fri [7]
Your package arrived today; safe, sound, and dry despite the return address of the Northumberland Strait, Atlantic Ocean!! Guess that places you somewhere between New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia. Look, I found a photo of you taking a swim:
I've never been in that part of the world, but I hear good things.
Shall I open the box quickly or wait for Christmas????
Elf to Lanette, Elf to Lanette, come in Lanette.... -- SOS Elf!, 09:16:12 12/17/09 Thu [4]
To dear Lanette, it was radio'd up here about your recent week and Santa and us elves want to send you real live hugs. As we can't be there to give you warm hugs, we hope that by sending your little giftie's to you that you will feel the warmth we send. SOS Elf has radio'd Santa in for the delivery and I expect the sleigh to take off tomorrow. So be expecting your package early next week.
-- Miss L. Toe, 23:00:29 12/19/09 Sat [10] I just received confirmation that your pressies did leave the North Pole and have arrived in your country! Now my dear, one pressie is not included as it was a special order from a land far far away. It is being delivered by another one of Santa's elves from this far away land. I will put it on the next sleigh out of town once I receive it at headquarters.
Do you want any hints? Oh yeah, try not to peek at the address label as I was unable to write my code name and address. Oh yeah, one more thing - I didn't buy you shoes as listed on the label :).

GinnyJ!! Hello from the North Pole! Just wanted to let you know that you will receive your gift sometime this week! I do have a few questions and I ask them just because I'm so terribly snoopy. Now, I was wondering what your Christmas plans were going to be? Are you hosting your families festivities? I hear you're a wonderful cook on good authority from a few of the shammies. What's on the menu? Do you open on Christmas Eve or wait until the morning? I hope you will enjoy your gifts, my dear. I hear you've been a very good girl... I just asked Joe! ; ) -- the one and only slacker elf, 15:09:01 12/20/09 Sun [2]
-- Knotty Elf, 19:58:08 12/18/09 Fri [15]
Howdy, Renfro! Yer package is finally in the hands of those trusted Mail Elves (not to be confused with the Male Elves who have a less than stellar reputation *g*).
So ya want hints? Hard or Easy? I could just come out and tell ya, but in a fun way...I didn't put any hints inside the box I sent, but if you look closely at the return address you'll probably figure it out..so pick yer poison, girl!
-- Angel, 16:53:52 12/18/09 Fri [7]
you ROCK!! Thank you SO much - all the wee pressies look so festive in my non-festive house. I haven't opened a one yet, as I am waiting for Ren to get back from her girls night out and you were so sweet to include a few for her. Thank you for taking such time with my gifts, and for putting a smile on my face tonight! I will return for more thank you's when I get to open them *g*
Your santa’s feeling scroogish
Keeping your gifts out of the sleigh
While off to the Caribbean
You and yours fly away.
As you soar across the country
Keep a watchful eye along the way
Secret Elf could be anywhere
Will you fly over where I stay?
I’ll keep your pressie safe
As in the sun you sashay
And when you return back home
I’ll send it on its way.
What hides inside this special box?
Four packages to make your day!
Shall I tease you with a puzzle
To think on while you reggae?
Number one, just for fun, provides purple pleasure.
Number two, is for your boys to play.
Number three is a favored regional treat.
Number four for your holiday soiree.
Secret Elf may have gone a bit overboard
But only once a year is this holiday.
So I’m eager for you to receive your gift
When you return from your Caribbean stray.

If Santa won't leave soon I might have to send it with those guys in the funny brown clothes! BUT either way its packed and ready to wing its way to the great state of Texas! I hope you are almost done braiding and can take some time for yourself!

Nalana - it's Quiz Time!!! -- Miss L. Toe, 14:29:24 12/14/09 Mon [7]
Santa and I know that you love to read and that you have read a lot of books with your friends on the Books Board. By the way, EU is Santa's favourite book. Just to make sure that you stay at the top of the Good List, Santa wants me to quiz you about some famous Christmas stories and I have snuck in a wee clue for you too.
Are you ready?.......
1.Who is the author of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas?
2.In what town does the story in #1 take place?
3. Who wrote A Christmas Carol?
4. Can you name the Cratchits from #3?
5. What expression is Ebeneezer known for saying from #3?
6. Who says "give like Santa, save like scrooge?"
7. In the Night Before Christmas, what did the man and his wife wear on their heads?
Miss Carla, I declare I am shocked. Here I am trying to make final decision on a wee gift and I find you ADMITTING that you are a lying & sneaking on one your friends. My mistletoe has curled up, my twinkly lights have twonked and I am beside myself. I am now looking a ball & chain and an item of clothing with stripes unless you can redeem yourself immediately (and provide hints of course) -- Elf Schmelf, 14:15:55 12/08/09 Tue [6]

Hey Darlin'! Well the crew left me, the Old Man up North's been breathin' down my neck wonderin' what I've been up to, but I've still been pluggin' away at your gifties. I've almost filled a box for ya, but there's a bit o' space left to fill...so I've come to ask your input on scents. Do you have a favorite scent? Or a kind you don't particularly like? I'm not too fond of Eucalyptis myself. *g*
So clue this elf in on your favorite scents...and then I'll be shippin' yer box real soon!

Gosh what an organised and observant SS you are!!! Thank you so much. The jewellery is perfect as I don't have many sweet silver things and that is the other metal I wear. The scarf is just right and I was the one who scored some of CindyS socks but I am not sending her mine now *g*
Thanks again and I hope you are just as pleased with whatever your SS sends to you.

Now, you know that I am not a poet, but I do tell a good joke or at least Santa laughs and thinks I'm funny!
Here are a few jokes for you to read while you wait for your pressies to arrive. There is a small hint about me in there too.
I'll tuck the answers inside for you.
1.What do penguins ride?
2.What do elves learn in school?
3.What do you call a gigantic polar bear?
4.What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire?

Bet you thought you were on the naughty list this year Miss Mahri, but I tipped the scales in your favor and made sure that you made it to the nice list this year! Now hopefully we can get your presents to you on time - us elves are a bit behind, there were a lot of nice people for a change!

TRACY, -- Santa's little helper, 07:54:52 12/10/09 Thu [2]
I’m sure you wonder why your Santa’s little helper is keeping silent, don’t you ? Well, the problem is that your elf isn’t the most gifted with words and riddles and trying to find the best giftie for a special, truly talented young woman takes a lot of head scratching! Short of delivering Martha to your doorstep, I’m trying really hard to come up with something different!! Be assured though, your pressie will be there before Christmas!
-- NutMeg, 11:32:04 12/06/09 Sun [4] I've hunted and gathered
Then hunted some more
Next step involves paper
And ribbon galore.
It's been my great pleasure
Creating treasures for you
There is red and some green
But nothing is blue.
There are pressies that can be described as quite soft
While others have parts that are actually hard
Some smell very pretty
And some smell not at all
I hope I remember to include a card.
A poet or limerist I never will be
My mission was spreading good will and good cheer
I'll know I've succeeded as the big day draws near
If you are pleased with the gifties I'm placing under your tree!
Hi Peggy!! -- Christmas Water Sprite, 18:33:39 12/09/09 Wed [2]
Sorry it's been a while since my last message. See, I heard you'd been to Ireland this year and as I'd never been I decided to swim over for a wee visit and for some inspiration for your giftees. I stopped at the Aran Islands and met a very talented and chatty boyo named Cyril, then I went on to the mainland where I was very distracted by the scenery.
Then after that, well, I had to drop into a pub for a pint, just for the cultural experience you understand. I went in on a Monday and I didn't make it out again until Friday morning. But I'm all right now, thank you, and I did find some treasures that I hope will remind you the Emerald Isle, as well as a few treats designed to tickle your fancy.
The submersible is all loaded and will be heading for the surface and the nearest mailbox tomorrow. So all being well your package should be there in plenty o' time (see, that's what happens when you spend time in Ireland, you start talking a little differently). Please let me know when it gets there as sometimes the surface postal service is not all that it should be. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
-- Angel's Elf, 18:53:23 11/21/09 Sat [6]
Oh my Santa had a note that said you are as busy as he is this year. He wishes you loads of luck with all that horse hair.
So Santa assigned me to be your personal elf...I hope that I do Santa justice in helping to make your holiday as sweet as you...
Now be good and make Renfro do the housework, decorating and baking while you are braiding!
I'll be checking in with you sweet Angel!
Elf to Lanette, come in Lanette! -- SOS Elf!, 18:41:33 12/08/09 Tue [2]

Okay, so my "crack team" has gone on a serious bender. 'parently someone decided to get together fer a team meeting and it was BYOBlue Ribbon. So I'm left to my own devices to figure this all out.
I heard you gots yerself a nice motorcycle...any chance you could tell me what kind, color, etc. I'm thinkin' this might give an elf a clue about somethin' fer ya.
Secret Elf looking for CindyS -- Secret Elf, 09:43:21 12/07/09 Mon [4]
Dear CindyS,
The "big guy" just told me you have two boys who made the "nice" list this year and asked if I couldn't make room in my pack for them too. So what can you tell me about these good young'ns?
What day do you plan to celebrate Christmas? I want to make sure your eggplant arrives fresh. *****giggle*****

Re: Cyber Road Trip from Isabelle's Floria home to Secret Santa Elf's hideaway
Your elf has finished shopping & wrapping
The wee giftee is packed in the sleigh...no tracking (it's secret).
Now it is in your car and on the road for you
Along the way you'll do some sightseeing too.
Keep checking this board your driving route to see.
You'll end up at your Secret elf's home for a visit and tea.
Sheila, oh Sheila, dear!! I wanted you to know that your Fanciful Elf has not forgotten you! I'm searching high and low for presents to please you. I'm assuming you've been a deserving girl, but maybe I'm mistaken. I might need to see a report card to verify that Miss Sheila has had improved behaviour compared to last year. You were rather naughty, if I recall! -- Fanciful Elf, 10:48:33 11/26/09 Thu [14]
Yooo hooo GinnyJ... are you about?? Well, this here elf has it under strict orders to get some information from you by the big guy! As employers go, he's nice enough when you've done you're job but geez, a little slacking on my part and he's not ho-ho'ing right now. There's a wee pile of gifties that has your name on it but santa asks: Coffee or tea? Milk or dark chocolate? Silver or gold? So, would you be so kind to help this elf out so I can deliver some info to Santy... lets see if I can put that twinkle back in his eye. Pretty please... -- Slacker-elfie, 20:09:53 12/06/09 Sun [2]
Yooo Hooo Nalana! -- Miss L. Toe, 09:45:15 11/30/09 Mon [7]
Nalana My Sweet,
Your stocking is filling up
It will runneth over like a cup
One more question have I
Please answer with no lies
What coffee flavours do you like?
Alrighty, the last line did not rhyme but I am Miss L. Toe not Miss Poe A. Tree! See, I told you! :) I have assured Santa and his elves that my rhyming inabilities have no impact upon my shopping abilities!
Although I'm no celtgirl, the muse was upon me today (and I must say he resembled a certain very hot dark-haired Irish boyo ;) and I took the liberty of hacking away at a lovely Irish Christmas song "It's Christmas in Killarney." -- Carla, 11:59:13 12/03/09 Thu [6]
So with apologies to the original writers Cavanaugh/Redmond/Weldon, here's "Christmas in the Patch"
The shamrock green, the shamrock green,
The prettiest picture you’ve ever seen
It’s Christmas in the Patch
With all of the Shammies at home.
It’s nice you know, to kiss your quiver
Those Irish lads can make a girl shiver
And Santa Claus you know, of course
Is one of the boys from home.
The door is always open
The Shammies pay a call
Our hearts are light, our spirits bright
We’ll celebrate our joy tonight
It’s Christmas in the Patch
With all of the Shammies at home.
We’ll decorate the Christmas tree
When all the Shammies’re here
Around a roaring fire
We will raise a cup of cheer
There’s gifts to bring, and songs to sing
And laughs to make the rafters ring
It’s Christmas in the Patch
With all of the Sahmmies at home.
How grand it feels to kick your heels
And dance away to the jigs and reels
It’s Christmas in the Patch
With all of the Shammies at home.
It’s Christmas in the Patch
With all of the Shammie at home.

Is there a CindyS here? -- Secret Elf, 10:25:44 11/14/09 Sat [6]
Dear CindyS
Some group calling themselves theshamrockelves sent me an email with your name and address and some rambling essay on the color purple, travels to Ireland, and a Christmas cruise. I don’t know if this is some sort of chain email or Nigerian banking scheme or sumpin’.
If you are for real, could you please leave me a message here?
-- NutMeg, 10:13:06 12/01/09 Tue [2]
Look who dropped by today with something soft and sensual for you!
I almost said to him, 'Why yes I'm Betsy', but I'm sure the Big Man (read Santa) is watching and would be none too happy with me. I'm quite pleased with meself though, that took a lot of restraint *fanning self rapidly*
Hope you are continuing to heal lass. I've been quite busy hunting and gathering here.
Elf to Lanette, Elf to Lanette, come in Lanette.... -- SOS Elf!, 12:20:21 11/30/09 Mon [2]
Sending out E.L.F.(elfing loud frequency) radio signals to Lanette! SOS Elf has been assigned to help Santa this year in finding out whether you've been naughty or nice, good or bad, clean laundry or dirty, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!
Santa radio'd in (we're purveyors of trailing-edge technology here in the N Pole) and asked to send out an SOS (meaning Santa's outta suggestions) to find out what you may like this year. Do you like bold and flashy or earthy and reserved? Bling and City or quiet walks in the park? Do you like to cook? Do you like to eat? Do you like movies? What's your favorite TV show? What color socks are you wearing right this second? Do you have dogs or cats or bats or fish? SOS Elf will radio all the info back to Santa for ideas!
Howdy, Renfro! I was fixin’ to come by earlier today, but then our turkey fryer shorted out and I had to figure out the best way to cook our Turducken. Tween that and my ball n’ chain naggin’ at me bout watchin’ them there Dallas Cowboys on the TV, I never thought I’d get away. But here I is!
I got me a crack-team of “helpers” to assist me with yer case. I sent them over hill and dale to find out more about you and search out gifts that you’d like that’d still stay under the Old Man’s Naughty List radar.
I received my first report this very day. Unfortunately this “helper” is as dumb as a box of hair, so I ain’t sure he’s got me anything useful. Here’s what he had to say:
Dear KE, (that’s me)
I visited said target. I gotten a little confused cuz there wuz two of them their ladies there. You missed that detail in your request. Anyway, I watched them for a bit...they’un like to cook. And eat. And one of them there ladies is blonde and the other has brown hair. That’s all I got.
Bubba the Elf
So as you can see, I got very little in that. But it does bring to mind a question....what kinds of food do you like? Spicy, salty, sweet?
All right then, gotta go for now...looks like I need to get the stump burnin’ under way.
