G-spot attacks upstate NY this spring teaming up with local favorites Wet Monkey at The Haunt in Ithaca on June 14 and Thunderosa, at Mac’s Bad Art Bar in Syracuse on June 28. If you haven’t had a chance to “Experience the Pleasure” of
G-spot then get ready for an incredible time!
After several years of honing their craft & building an enthusiastic fan base in their hometown of NYC, this summer G-spot continues their East Coast road trip with 2-3 shows a month throughout Upstate, NY, NJ, PA, & MA. They plan to expand their touring area even further after the release of their second CD, due out late 2003. “We definitely felt the time was right to start broadening our fan base and expanding geographically, we continue to build from the grass roots level and have been lucky enough to team up with other supportive, music loving artists & club owners close to our home base”, says G-spot’s lead singer Gail.
G-spot offers listeners original rock power pop songs with a touch of punk and some funky grooves. G-spot’s lead singer, Gail lights up the stage with a powerful voice, fresh provocative songs, & a super sexy hi-energy performance. FM Sound’s Kim Chase recently had this to say about G-spot’s live show “besides the awesome music, the show was an amazing display of a level of energy that could melt metal. The band has fun together, which is what I really love to see, and the musicianship is top-notch. I recommend stopping by at her next gig to see what this feminine phenomenon is all about…”.
G-spot has begun receiving significant Indie and college radio airplay. They were recently selected to be a featured artist WRAT 95.9, The Jersey Rock Radio Show and Radio Crystal Blues “Future Stars” and “Gems” segments. A recent review in Issues Magazine predicts them to win the next Grammy, “Their musicianship is top flight. They are an excellent band with strong musical influences and diverse tastes that show up in every song! The songs are well structured & played to perfection. This is definitely a group you should check out…G-Spot has what it takes to eventually merit a Grammy and I hope they keep at it long enough for me to see that happen!”
