Well, thanks for posting the details and I am truly sorry to learn of your friends' experience.

However, it is, after all the experience of *one* renter over the course of *one* week during a stay at *one* property. In any given week, AMRC has dozens of properties rented and I can guarantee you that what your friends experienced is simply NOT the norm. If it were, AMRC would have no renters. Rather, they have plenty of business (including a LOT of repeat renters) because they typically do their utmost to accommodate their customers. I have no idea where the disconnect was between your friends and AMRC but can assure you it is NOT AMRC's standard operating procedure. Regardless, if you do some research, I'm sure you'll find similar (and isolated) horror stories about other renters' experiences with Royal Shell as well as other management companies.

Ultimately, as I wrote earlier, if you're planning to never rent one of AMRC's properties because of one unfortunate experience, then you're excluding a lot of nice properties and are sort of stuck with paying (according to your own account) Royal Shell's high prices.
